Peter Wüthrich serves as the CEO of a Swiss single-family office, provides investment consulting services to wealth owners and is an impact investor himself. Before founding his own research and investment consulting firm 15 years ago, Peter served on Rothschild Bank Zurich’s executive board and was the bank’s Chief Investment Officer and Global Head of Research. Peter invented the “Cantrade Fund Radar”, the first fund analysis tool using visual means to illustrate complex evaluations of asset managers. His book about investment funds he co-authored with a financial journalist sold over 40’000 copies. Peter graduated in 1992 with a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. He subsequently became a CFA and FRM charter holder. He keeps close ties to academia by working closely with universities and think-tanks on subjects like sustainable investing, behavioural finance, economic history, and alternative economic theories. This includes frequent teaching assignments at the University of Zürich’s Center for Sustainable Finance and Private Wealth. Together with the university’s finance faculty, Peter leads the yearly private banking rating series of the Swiss financial journal Bilanz.

I'm a dad who wants to do everything in his power to ensure his kids grow up on a livable planet.   I grew up in Vermont, where a love of nature and a zeal for proper seasons -- cold, snowy winters; wet green springs, warm (but not unenjoyable hot) summers; and clear crisp falls -- was our birthright and the wellspring of our economy.   By day I work in tech sales and dream of founding/joining a coop that leads the shift towards a sustainable circular economy.

I m a change maker in organizations, organizational coach focus in agile methodologies and others new models which approach us to the transformation we are needing as a society. Now I m working in big organizations such as Banks or inssurance companies. Also working as trainer and speaker in agility matters.  During 7 years I work as  Organizational Coach of Engineering with our Border Argentina (an ONG with social focus) In 2017 I went to Capetown and attend to  the Presencing Foundation course so I m also familiar with Otto Scharmer s approach.  During 2020 I move from Buenos Aires to Bariloche in the Patagonia, searching a more meaningful way of leaving, connected with nature and sustainability. In these days I feel the need to reconnect with Kate book (I ve read it a few years ago) and thats lead me here.  I m specially interested in learning and connect with others that have the same concern face the challenge our generation is facing to turn into a more organic and collaborative mindset .

I am a Co-Founder of Green Collect. Based in Naarm (Melbourne, Australia) and founded in 2005, Green Collect is non-profit  social enterprise and inclusive workplace creating new jobs through circular economy services, delivering innovative solutions for resources discarded from offices and homes. Green Collect is founded on 2 interconnected principles: 1. that we recognise the value in all people, that their background, life storey and lived experiences are important and something we can all learn from 2. the value in materials, recognising how things are made, what they are made from, that they derived from the earth and that we are are interdependent on the natural ecosystems. Our vision was to create a place that represented and lived out these values counter to the systems we live in.  Systems that have not recognised the value in all people or the natural environment, systems that historically create inequalities, exclude people and exploit resources. Here at GC, all people are welcome and all items we collect through our activities are handled carefully and individually to identify the best outcome, environmentally, socially, and financially. I am so excited to finally find references and frameworks that can contribute to the work we do and offer an alternative model.

Allen is an Architect, Urban Designer, Teacher,  Lecturer and a Certified Passivhaus Designer in the process of building a Passivhaus PLUS (energy Positive) certified house in the Shetland Islands using a timber factory produced framed kit.  He has worked as project architect, master planner, and site architect on landmark and infrastructure projects railways stations and airports and also highly serviced research laboratory facilities for leading international practices such as SOM, HOK, BDP and RMJM.     Allen is also a 5th year PhD researcher at the   University of Greenwich, Faculty of Business,    School of Systems Management and Strategy   and a member of the  Sustainability Technology and Innovation Research Group (STIR).  He is researching Sustainable Urban Housing looking at the uptake of the Passivhaus standard particularly in the ‘for rent’ and ‘not for profit’ sectors of housing delivery system in the UK. 

University of St. Andrews, Scotland

Racheal Inegbedion has 9 years of experience in Disability Advocacy, Policy and Youth & Development issues. Currently, Racheal is the Founding Executive Director of the Special Needs Initiative For Growth (SNIG), a non-Governmental organisation focused on empowering persons with disabilities through the provision of resources and practical programs for living a meaningful life. She connects persons with disabilities with demand driven ICT tools and resources so that they can access inclusive education and then employment opportunities. She is an Ashoka young change maker and a  2021 Mandela Washington Fellow Alumna, a program of the U.S. Department of State with funding provided by the U.S. Government and administered by the International Research & Exchanges Board. Racheal's organization was awarded for the best innovative practice in employment and ICT for persons with disabilities by the Zero Project. Racheal is a Global Exchange on Religion in Society Fellow by the European Union External Action. She was recognised by the United Nations Secretary-General Envoy on Youth as one of the 10 young leaders inspired to change the world during the COVID-19 crisis. Racheal has been featured on the technology news of the Voice of America and Google Chrome as a “Google Leaptaker” for using STEM and Robotics to empower youths with disabilities in Africa.  Lastly, Racheal is undergoing her Msc .Sustainable Development at the University of St. Andrews Scotland. Her goal in the next few years is to  proffer her expertise on a multilateral level at the Department of Economic and Social Affairs under the office of the Secretary-General on Disability and Accessibility where she will be promoting the rights of Persons with Disabilities at a larger scale.

I am currently doing an internship with Growunited e.V. a small NGO based in Frankfurt and a partner of Masterpeace.   Within this internship I am part of the ACT! as a Doughnut project, an innovative non-formal education programme utilizing Douhgnut economics theory among others, to booth youth participation towards a sustainable and just future.

I just finished my master's degree in Freiburg, studying in the M.Sc. programme Geography of Global Change. For my thesis I worked with Doughnut Economics and its practical applicability. I truly appreciate the support and treasure of knowledge of the DEAL community and platform. Now I am working at the Next Economy Lab in Bonn, realizing more Doughnut-related projects.  I am drawn to the doughnut by its tangibility and immediate call for action: "Act now - theorize later!"

My main talent is designing transformative learning Experiences for complex social and environmental issues. In my rush to bring more justice to the world I co-founded three social innovation organsiations. All three organsiations are flourishing and empower children and young people through co-creation for climate & social justice. I was awarded the Ashoka Fellowship in 2016 & since recently am an LSX Fellow. From Ireland, and based in Amsterdam I work with educational and youth organisations locally and in the Global South. Currently my work is at Design-a-thon Works as Program Lead where we 'Empower Children to Design Better Futures'

Since 2015 I have been active in sustainability, first importing sustainable products to Chile and since 2017 with my foundation Plastic Oceans Chile, now called Fundación Conexión Natural. I work both on a local as a global level, solving plastic pollution upstream and downstream. I believe the doughnut model to be a great tool of adressing systemic challenges and to provide a pathway that will take pressure of our planetary boundaries. Before launching UpStudio Africa, Shama was a Senior Project Manager at Dalberg Advisors where she co-led the Education to Employment as well as the Early Years Development practice areas globally.

Rana Sajjad is a dual-qualified lawyer (licensed in New York and Pakistan) having over 20 years’ experience of practicing law in Pakistan and the U.S. in practice areas including contracts, cross-border transactions, commercial litigation and domestic and international arbitration. Sajjad is the Founder & President of the Center for International Investment and Commercial Arbitration (CIICA), Pakistan’s first international arbitration center and a Partner at the Lahore-based law firm of Rana Ijaz & Partners. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and an accredited mediator of the Singapore International Mediation Institute (SIMI).   Economics was my favorite subject in my O and A levels and I also majored in it in my undergraduate studies. I am an avid book reader and recently read "Doughtnut Economics" which completely transformed my perspectives on economics and it almost felt like whatever I had learned about economics in my 7 years of high school and university was not correct or even appropriate. I now believe that economics can be a force for good and an agent of change and would, therefore, like to learn more and be actively involved in some capacity to bring about change in Pakistan's economy in particular and the regional and global economy in general.

Hi!! I believe the Doughnut is an inspired tool which could be used to give local answers to global challenges.  I created the Doughnut Model for Gijón as part of my master thesis. However, wider views and further analysis would have to be included to bring real change. I am looking forward meeting people interested in accomplishing this task, and to make Gijón and their citizens thrive in the path.

Paul Carlson founded the non-profit reEarth in 2020 that works on smart and sacred water initiatives in NW Ohio. He is a board member for the non-profit Simply Living and Resurrecting Lives Foundation that helps veterans who suffer from Traumatic Brain Injuries. He was a member of the US Transition Collaborative Design Council from March 2020 until March 2022 and serves on the Green Spot Advisory Board for the City of Columbus.  Paul worked for seventeen years as the city’s first IT Project Manager. He was responsible for facilitating the city being recognized as the 2015 Intelligent Community Forum, Most Intelligent Community in the World. He worked closely with The Ohio State University Center for Automotive Research, Autonomous Vehicle Pilot project, that was sponsored by the NIST Global City Team Challenge and he was part of the core team that responded to the first phase of Columbus ultimately winning the $40M USDOT Smart City Challenge. Paul was also a member of Mayor Coleman’s Green team and helped Columbus become certified as a four STAR sustainable community.  Paul attended the US Naval Academy for two years (Class of 1973) and received a BA in Political Science in 1976, and an MA in History in 1978, from Youngstown State University.
