함께 본 〈내일〉, 함께 그릴 용인의 내일

2026년 10월 23일 저녁, 느티나무도서관에서 다큐멘터리 〈내일〉을 함께 봤습니다. 농업, 에너지, 경제, 민주주의, 교육을 바꾸는 사람들의 이야기는 위기를 무겁게만 바라보게 하지 않았습니다. 우리가 할 수 있는 일부터 즐겁게 시작해 보자고 생각하게 하는 영화였습니다.

영화 속 여러 시도는 도넛 경제학이 현실에서 살아 움직이는 모습을 보는 듯했습니다. 사람과 지구가 함께 잘 살기 위해 우리 지역에서는 무엇을 할 수 있을까요? 영화를 보며 느티나무도서관이 이웃과 함께 무엇을 해 보려는지도 더 선명해졌습니다. 상영 후에는 용인의 내일을 함께 그려보자는 이야기를 나눴습니다.

특히 용인아동돌봄협회에서 영화를 만드는 아이들이 함께 와서 〈내일〉을 본 것이 반가웠습니다.

〈내일〉 상영 후기

저는 11년 전에 공개된 〈내일〉을 이번에 처음 봤습니다.

농업, 에너지, 경제, 민주주의, 교육
이 거대한 이야기는 영화를 봤음에도 잘 모르겠습니다.

''내일'에 나온 도시들이 지금은 얼마나 달라졌을까?'
'도시와 농촌이 공존하는 용인시는 앞으로도 괜찮을까?'
영화를 보고 나선 그저 막연한 걱정부터 들었습니다.

며칠 후, 고민이 하나 생겼습니다.
'지금 내가 무엇을 하면 누군가와 함께 '내일'이라는 삶의 기운을 줄 수 있을까'라고...


Watching Tomorrow, imagining Yongin’s tomorrow together

On the evening of October 23, 2026, we watched the documentary Tomorrow together at Neutinamu Library. Its stories of people changing agriculture, energy, the economy, democracy, and education did not leave us weighed down by the crises they face. Instead, the film invited us to think with energy and joy about what we can begin to do ourselves.

The film’s many local initiatives felt like Doughnut Economics coming to life. What can we do in our own community so that people and the planet can thrive together? The screening also made it clearer what Neutinamu Library hopes to explore with its neighbors. Afterward, we talked about imagining Yongin’s tomorrow together.

We were especially glad that children from the Yongin Child Care Association who make films came to watch Tomorrow with us.

Reflections on the screening of Tomorrow

I watched Tomorrow, which was released eleven years ago, for the first time at this screening.

Agriculture, energy, the economy, democracy, education—even after watching the film, I still find these vast subjects difficult to grasp.

“How much have the cities featured in Tomorrow changed by now?”
“Will Yongin, where urban and rural life coexist, be all right in the years ahead?”
After the film, all I felt at first was a vague sense of worry.

A few days later, one question came to mind:
“What can I do now, alongside someone else, to share the life-giving energy of ‘tomorrow’?”
