Community Wealth Building: Making Norwich’s Wealth Work for Norwich
Explore how Norwich can keep more public spending and investment local, benefiting people, planet and place
Posted by Reimagine Norwich
How does the event relate to Doughnut Economics?
Community Wealth Building complements Doughnut Economics by exploring how local economies can become more distributive by design, ensuring that wealth, ownership and economic opportunity are shared more widely within communities.
This event will explore how Norwich’s anchor institutions – including the City Council and other major local organisations – can use their spending, employment, assets and investment to strengthen the local economy and benefit local people. This connects directly with Doughnut Economics approaches to purpose-driven procurement, locally rooted finance, inclusive enterprise and creating economies that serve people and place.
