Doughnut Economics Research-for-Action gathering (Americas) (Past)
Connecting scholar-activists to amplify Doughnut Economics research and to mobilise evidence for transformative action

Please Note: This event has now finished and can no longer be joined.
(This is the second of two gatherings and it will be held at a more convenient time for the Americas region. For the first gathering, which will be held at a more convenient time for the Asia-Pacific region, click here)
Doughnut Economics Action Lab (DEAL) welcomes you to join this peer-learning space exploring ways to deepen and amplify Doughnut Economics research, and to push for transformative action in line with research evidence.
The gathering will be hosted by Andrew Fanning, DEAL’s Research & Data Analysis Lead, and it will build on our previous #research-for-action peer gatherings in October 2024 and March 2025. We will continue to follow a gathering format where everyone will have space to share their experiences, insights and questions on how to strengthen links between research and action.
The spirit of these peer learning spaces is that there's no single ‘expert’ and we're all here as learners. We will all have something to contribute, whether that be to listen, to reflect, to share your personal experience or to share some ideas.
In particular, this will be the first gathering since choosing to set up a group emailing list for scholar-activists to be able stay connected and share relevant information via email (using Gaggle Mail). There will be space to reflect on the mailing list as a communication channel, ideas for collaboration, and any other updates or matters arising. Further details on the agenda will be provided to those who have registered in due course.
If you would like to attend, you can register here to receive the zoom link.
Upon registration (via zoom) you will receive an email confirmation. Please use the link in the email to add the event to your calendar. We will contact you with additional details and additional resources to start sharing examples, insights and questions.
If at any stage you realise you can’t attend, please cancel your registration via the link in your confirmation email.
Thank you for your interest in connecting with scholar-activist peers to explore research for action with Doughnut Economics – we look forward to learning with you!
