Doughnut Economics About DEAL News & Updates Meet the DEAL Team Careers FAQ Wider Movement Contact UsMaryam is lecturer of supply chain management in Cardiff Business School. Maryam's academic research focuses on "sustainable supply chains" with the focus on social aspects including child slavery, modern slavery and workers' rights. She is part of the Wales Anti-Slavery Academia Group. She works closely with Welsh Government and industries on human rights and modern slavery in the supply chains. Her interest is not just to research the downstream of the supply chains and parent firms in UK and Western countries but also investigate upstream of the supply chains including lower tiers suppliers and workers in countries of production such as Africa, China and many other countries involved in modern slavery.
