Laetitia Thomas
Researcher, educator & consultant in circular and regenerative innovation*
Grenoble, France 🇫🇷🇺🇸
I help organisations design responsible innovations and build circular and regenerative business models — working at the intersection of strategy, systemic thinking, and the living world. I accompany entrepreneurs, companies, and institutions in reimagining what value creation can look like when it serves people and ecosystems rather than depleting them.
I teach innovation, sustainability, and circular economy at several French, Swiss, and Indian business and engineering schools, and my research (PhD, Université Grenoble Alpes) explored open source hardware as a vehicle for more ethical and collaborative innovation. I am a Circulab-certified consultant and a u-lab 2X alumna (Presencing Institute/MIT), and a Plum Village lay pratictioner. I bring both rigorous frameworks and creative, embodied practices to my work.
What draws me to the Doughnut Economics community is the rare combination of intellectual seriousness and genuine imagination — the conviction that we can redesign economies to thrive within planetary boundaries and that doing so can be joyful, beautiful, and deeply human. I am equally at home facilitating systemic design workshops, co-creating serious games, or hand-sewing a 10kg recycled denim artwork that asks: what kind of future are we dreaming into being?
I believe the transition we need will emerge from communities like this one — local and global at once, rigorous and creative, rooted and visionary. Glad to be here.
