Padmasai Varanasi

I am Padmasai, I have an undergraduate and masters degree in Economics and work as an Economist for a macroeconomic consultancy firm. I grew up in India, moved to London for my Masters, worked there for a few years and am now based in Oxford.  

I used to be a strong believer in the power of markets. But in recent years I have experienced a big shift in my views owing to rising inequality and climate change. Donought Economics really brought it all together so beautifully, the crisis we face as a profession in economics and the need to rethink it! Looking forward to collaborating with this community and making a difference!
