I have always worked in culture and during the last 10 years I have focused on environmental impact, climate change relating to our sector, cities and networks. I convene the Manchester Arts Sustainability Team – MAST, an award-winning cross art form network of over 50 cultural organisations across Greater Manchester. Our network is dedicated to taking collective action to mitigate the climate and ecological crisis through enacting change and environmental responsibility across the entire cultural sector. I represent culture on the Manchester Climate Change Partnership – the board which oversees Manchester’s Climate Change Agency and city policy development. MAST has been recognised as an international good practice by the EU’s URBACT programme and we are currently working with Manchester City Council as lead partner of C-Change. Through this we are sharing this practice with five other European cities. https://urbact.eu/c-change

I have been in financial services for over 35 years. In the last two years I have committed myself to understanding and advising exclusively on sustainable investments. I see my role as not just travelling with clients on their financial journey but guiding them on how to invest their savings and pensions into companies that support the UN sustainable goals.

Hi, I am Elizabeth. I am very passionate about my involvement in a start up that seeks to be the change I want to see. Every day I learn a great deal about building a sustainable way of life. I currently live with my family in Germany but my heart and body is working in Africa for Africa. I have made it my mission to promote Africa's agri-business products. Africa is the continent I spent the most time in besides Europe, and in many ways, I wants to connect my home to the rest of the world by promoting value added export that contribute to eradicating poverty at the grassroot of high cash crops. I am energised by working directly with small-scale farmers in Africa, living with them on the farms, processing harvests together and so on. This priceless community activity that brings back memories from my childhood. reminding me of how little has changed across Africa when it comes to value added export of Agricultural products.

Growing up in a extractive economy, I always laid my own worth in how much I produced and contributed to my peers. Connecting self-worth to something external and disconnected from the emotional and spiritual side of life, I've always felt as if there was something missing with the world I was brought up in. I thought I did all the right things, were on time to class, kind to others and had goals and ambitions, but as I realised, this was not nurturing to my human needs. In starting my meditation practice, studying public health, and how all things are connected and integrated, I've realised that this is the path I want to to walk. Hi, I'm Felix and I'm a builder who wants to engage with others who value, health, connection and understanding in order to build a healthier and fairer world for everyone now and for the generations to come.

I am a social researcher existing betwixt disciplines - Geography and Sociology. I focus on work in society and young people’s futures and sense of place. I consider both, the decisions people make regarding employment in contentious industries in their local contexts as well as resistance against the same. I explore people's sense of labour and association with place, including any contradictions or conflict they may experience. I work across the contexts of Lisbon (Portugal) and Goa (India).
