I worked as a public affairs officer in an organization dedicated to youth entrepreneurship. I am passionate about environmental and climatic issues as well as their impact on society. I hope to work in a related field upon completion of my studies.

I am interested in regenerative economies and how it can be scaled down to be applicable at the household level. I grew up in a rural town in Southern USA called Dublin, Georgia. Growing up, I was passionate about service and creativity. I am now a lawyer at Jones Day where I focus on corporate law. In law school, I focused on how to reshape the purpose of corporations in society. I spent some time working at the UN Global Compact to create dialogue between civil society, government and corporations on anti-bribery, climate and human rights. Prior to law school, I worked at the White House under the Obama Administration. My experiences have revealed that the humanity's true potential lies in our ability to respect our planet and each other. I hope to dedicate my life to that cause.

Our group are part of a fledgling Milton Keynes Climate Action Network (MKCAN).  I am a member of the Women's Equality Party (WEPUK) - the first political party to adopt Doughnut Economics as policy.  I am also a member of FawcettMK, Citizens:mk and Cycling Citizens MK.   I would like to see the Doughnut applied to my Borough and am a member of Milton Keynes DECA (Doughnut Economics Climate Action) Group.

I am a single mother, entrepreneur, dedicated to public relations, training and marketing for 20 years. I was left out of the labor market, and forced to choose between a dignified motherhood or work, due to the special needs that it demanded. I fight against inequality and the lack of opportunities, I don't believe in hierarchies, I believe in more worthy forms of organization. We must change the circumstances that engender the energies that feed this sustainable life today for few. I fight for a decent life for us.

I have a MSc and PhD in Architectural Engineering. After graduation, I worked for almost 16 years at a research group in building physics, with a short stay inbetween at the energy administration of Brussels. Since 2007 I have my own Sustainability Research and Education Team at the Faculty of Architecture & art, Hasselt University, Belgium. I'm strongly interested in guiding people, students and professionals in the building sector towards more sustainable choices, especially with regard to the use of natural resources, but with attention to social justice. I'm highly inspired by the principles of doughnut economics and sufficiency and try to introduce them both in my professional and personal life.
