I make furniture from only reclaimed material. We are about to start a wood recycling production in cooperation with a sheltered workplace. Our starting point is finding durable non polluting solutions for furniture production.

They refer to me as the "Mexican Lawyer with a French name in the City of London". I am a partner of the Mexican independent law firm Nader, Hayaux & Goebel (NHG) and trusted advisor of multinational clients and foreign investors on financing transactions, M&A and other operations involving the Mexican and Latin American market, where I lead NHG’s pioneering London office, NHG’s insurance and reinsurance practice group and NHG's regenerative practice group. I serve as NED in two Mexican insurance companies, and I am a member of Chapter Zero UK and founder of Chapter Zero Mexico. My life partner Maria and I enjoy living in Kew Gardens, raising together Jose Pablo (22), Maria Jose (20), Geronimo (18) and Carlota (15), producing films to reconnect with nature and ancestral wisdom to raise consciousness, sharing our experiences in our blog myhaysar.com and being of service, holding space, deep weaving, sharing bread and wine, learning from our own experiences, walking and hiking.

Ko Tititea te maunga Ko Matukituki te awa Ko Wānaka tōku tūrangawaewae I am here because I am redefining my life and choosing to live deliberately and differently in collaboration with others. I am a NZ-based leadership professional & 3-D athlete 🇳🇿 I'm committed to sense making, the human capacity for goodness (& coffee) The simple answer to ‘what is a 3-D athlete’ relates to the interplay between physical expression, my involvement in character development education and my connection to the environment. A (slightly) more complicated answer relates to how I have learned to think about human cognition, learning growth and how this relates to connecting with others. Essentially, it is a sensemaking process involving narratives, pattern recognition and information processing. In addition, three is the smallest number you need to create a pattern – hence ‘3-D athlete’ is my way of synthesising thought, action and relatedness in multiple-dimensions.

Past hats I've worn include attorney, professor, entrepreneur, consultant, investor. I'm a San Joaquin Valley raised Mexican American - lived all over the country and now finally home in California. I'm pretty good at breaking down tricky problems. I like people, I don't talk over or disregard women, and people generally like working with me.

I am a chartered structural engineer who, in last several years, has held more multi-disciplinary design team leadership roles. I advocate for best practice in design and implementation throughout the built environment with a keen focus on sustainable (environmental, economic and social) development, and beyond resilient design. My project work has been diverse but has included a significant amount of healthcare related projects, and I have been supporting the promotion of healthy lifestyles in the built environment through planning and design. I am also a WELL AP. Disaster mitigation and disaster risk reduction are also key areas of interest. I am originally from the Caribbean region – an area particularly susceptible to natural hazards, such as hurricanes & earthquakes, & increasingly vulnerable because of the climate crisis, all hazards I have addressed in my work. My career has meant I have been based in Barbados, United Kingdom, Belgium, Turkey, Qatar, and The Netherlands.

I am a life-long learner. From a early background in computer systems, which gave me a whole-systems lens through which to approach the rest of my life, I've been an educator, author, artist, Transition movement trainer/contributor (since 2008), Permaculture instructor/designer, group facilitator, complementary currency designer, researcher, parent, grandparent. I love seeing through multiple lenses and points-of-view. I guess you could say I am a Whole-Systems, Biomimicry, "DANCING ON MY LEARNING EDGES" explorer ... contributing, connecting, and loving, with joy.

I'm an architect running a practice in Margate with my partner Tim Ratliff. We do residential and public work across the South-East. We really enjoy what we do and run a positive collaborative studio. We are very excited about the shift to a circular model of design creating regenerative architecture which is in balance with natural systems. We are in the process of developing a design strategy which helps clients (and us) to navigate through a project in a fully circular way.
