After spending over 20 years in the design, branding and packaging world, I've spent the last several years focused on bringing true sustainability and regeneration to the industry— from a holistic, big-picture perspective. Currently very focused on connecting dots in the packaging value chain to enable some of these needed shifts, enabling innovation and large scale change. I launched my independent consultancy, Parker Brands, in March of 2023, helping brands, agencies, NGOs, and many others start making unexpected connections to fuel change.

I am a researcher and writer focused on what moves us and the ways we move. I have been working to develop a philosophy of mind that is based in issues of mobility--of how we make our way (and have our ways made). With degrees in philosophy and neuroscience, and further studies in history and technology (I'm currently completing a 2nd Master in heritage and techno-science), I work across disciplines towards developing a general cognitive framework--part of the ecological orientation--that connect us across disciplines, scales and species. I post my research conversations relative to this at Love & Philosophy Beyond Dichotomy (https://www.youtube.com/@waymaking23). I also work in sustainable mobility and have discussions relative to that for the Ecological Motoring Initiative (https://www.ecologicalmotoring.com) at Forever Motoring. I am especially interested in how our definition and modes of motoring connect to our economic potentials for change, and how this be shifted towards the DEAL standards. We are all involved with and even dependent upon transportation systems of various kinds. How might we meet the motoring needs of all within the means of the living planet? This is the question I work with towards orienting transportation systems ecologically.

With a background education in classical literature, neurolinguistics and cinema, for more than a decade I have been connecting the dots between creativity, data analysis, and business growth strategy. Having led the brand strategy for some of the biggest brands in the European market, always ready to question the status quo, I have made it my purpose to steer away from the toxic cultures and high-stress environments that marketing, branding, and advertising agencies still encourage upon creatives, clients and businesses. I believe in “delaying intuition” - questioning everything and trying to eliminate bias. This means i am at my happiest when leading a team hungry for innovative ways to embed ethics, respect, and kindness to the most outrageous, forward-moving, and intentional creative ideas.

I have spent my career as a marketer for the consumer packaged goods industry. I have always struggled to understand the corporate pursuit of continual growth with no regard for the wellbeing of the planet and its living inhabitants. I have spent the last year exploring my passion for the wellbeing of people and the health of the planet, with the intention of changing my career path. This journey led me to Kate Raworth's incredible Ted Talk. Learning about the doughnut economy made everything click. I want to pivot my career to an organization/system where I can work to implement the doughnut economy. I am curious to learn about the amazing work that is happening within the DEAL community.

A systems-thinker and facilitator specialised in strategy and organisational design - I work at the intersection of social justice, health and societal change, cultivating dialogue as a means for systems change. The doughnut is a brilliant tool to help place positive impact on people and planet at the heart of any organisational design. I am here to learn from others and to share ideas how we can turn the theory into action.

The doughnut economy is a source of inspiration for my teaching! I hope this community helps me to answer the questions I'm constantly asking myself: How can we train managers who are more embodied and more concerned with ethics? How can we make future managers aware that it is possible to move away from individualism and competition towards the collective interest in the business world?

Inclusivity is my why. I'm a huge fan of modern monetary theory, behavioural nudges, and not surprisingly, when I heard about this community, I really wanted to join you and see how we can improve the world for everyone.

I work on helping grow the field of place-sourced regenerative practitioners through regenerative learning journeys for place-based organisations. I am interested in nurturing a bioregion here in Sussex where there is already so much potential seeding across the ecological, cultural and economic landscape. I have read donut economics and loved it - but I have not had much experience of putting the theory into action so I have joined here to learn and share ideas.
