I am always seeking to contribute to more regenerative/sustainable, ethical, and eco-socially just world. Doughnut Economics excites and inspires me for its potential to transform cities! My career journey has taken me into multiple sectors (technology, tourism, urban planning, academia, community non-profit, arts), but in all this work I have never strayed from my focus on socio-ecological justice. I am a hybrid cultural anthropologist / geographer who is building awareness of inclusive and regenerative tourism and placemaking in cities, with strategies focused on benefitting (versus exploiting) local communities (and the environment). I have a particular interest in addressing the enduring legacies of colonialism and imperialism. As an aside, I've also conducted in-depth research on Miami, Florida's Little Havana neighborhood, where I still offer (private) walking tours with a critical lens ...

Since my childhood (many years ago) I was passionate about the environment and fairness in the world. Then I became an adult and got a job, and fortunately met someone who loves me, we got married and had a baby girl. Still married and in love with my wife. Baby girl is now 21! My employers seem ignorant of the devastation we face and I need support and guidance to give me any hope for my Babygirls future

Social anthropologist, managing partner in a Strategic Design Studio and happy father of three. Searching for my way of contributing to the needed transformations in the world. Meaningful work derives from the search for solutions, processes and collaborations to let us all hand over a better world to our children than what we're looking at right now in 2023.

I've always worked in industry, starting in a lab and working up through process development and project management to operations management. Throughout that journey of having a focus on objects and processes to a focus progressively involving more and more people and their futures, I've come to understand the power of pictures and ideas that are supported by good data and logical reasoning. Doughnut Economics brings many, if not all of my ideas into a wider space. I have a broad range of interests crossing from the arts to science and maybe a touch of philosophy too. I'm also very practical and prefer to be making something. Sitting still is not a natural state for me.

My passion lies in social and environmental development with a specific focus on the interlinkage between communities, civil society and sustainability. My goal is to contribute to the strategic development and implementation of changing initiatives that make a positive contribution to the lives of many. Furthermore, I am driven by helping others, particularly in situations of conflict within relationships, family and work-related challenges.

I am a professionally qualified surveyor that recently reached retirement age. I have always been a busy person so am now stepping back from full time to part time working but looking to use the rest of my non family focused time to give some of my many years of life and work experience back to society. The biggest challenge facing us all, and particularly our grandchildren’s children is the future survival of our planet. Thus my focus is to find the best way I can use my experience to add value to that cause.

I'm working towards a world in which business leaves more value than it takes, and puts positive impact before profit, in service of a just and liveable future for all. I work as an independent marketing consultant, organisation designer and change facilitator for leaders of social value, sustainable and impact-led organisations. I bring 25 years of real-world business experience, coupled with a profound understanding and authentic commitment to addressing the change that’s needed to secure a thriving future for life on Earth. I'm exploring the potential of marketing to play a key role in the transition to a regenerative future. What if collectively, as marketers, we could transform our industry into a fairer, kinder, more ethical and responsible place, which encourages sustainable behaviour change and nurtures well-being?

I love helping people with any jewellery that needs repairing or gentle re-designing. My workshop can't handle a full melt-down-and-remodel kind of service but I'm happy to adjust or edit pieces that already exist, provide a quick re-polish, etc. I also occasionally do work on commission for friends and family, and am working on a way to expand that network locally as well as internationally in the most sustainable way. In my part-time work as a teacher of jewellery history I plan to integrate as much visibility of the doughnut into the syllabus as possible (sustainable materials and techniques) to inspire my students to think 'inside the doughnut'.

I an academic at the University of the Arts London. I am currently the Course Leader for the BA (Hons) Critical Practice in Fashion Media in which students study fashion media and communication from a critical, practice-based perspective. Students develop skills in critical writing, image-making, moving-image production, curation, socially engaged practice and strategy to work towards social, racial and climate justice. Fashion and fashion media education is brilliantly placed to nurture systems thinkers and has an important role to play in changing narratives about growth, sufficiency and potential ways to live a 'good life'. I am a member of action group Fashion Act Now.
