I work in Global Education and anti-racism programs, with schools, colleges, service-providers, and youth and community groups around Ireland. I'm an outreach and education worker with Financial Justice Ireland. This work involves exploring and questioning dominant narratives about growth and 'development', as well as looking at root causes of global poverty, including unfair trade, debt and tax systems drives inequalities and environmental harm. I have a particular interest in building solidarity relationships and to learn how we can work collectively to challenge global injustices at the heart of the current economic system. In terms of approach, I particularly value using creative and participatory methodologies, and experiential learning. www.financialjustice.ie

I'm the leader of an HE organisation and I'm trying hard to figure out how to apply donought economics in our system - which is built around growth models for survival. I'm sure there are other ways to think...

Founder of Make It Good which is dedicated to accelerating regenerative futures. Most recently part of the Oxfordshire Doughnut Project Team. Funded by Oxfordshire County Council and hosted by Aspire, the project seeks to accelerate understanding of Doughnut Economics in application across three core work streams - developing a preliminary data portrait as a springboard for engagement, understanding how to move from impact assessment to doughnut-informed Decision Making Wheel, and to consider how to begin to apply these tools to strategic economic planning in Oxfordshire.

Hi I'm Nolan and I made my way here when I did some follow up research after hearing about the Doughnut on a podcast. I love the idea of a community that's focused on real world applicable economic thought, that takes into account the constraints that we have due to the natural world while also considering that there is a baseline that we as humans deserve to live by. I'd love to learn more about what others have done in their communities and to also start to contribute in my own!

I'm a 37 years old food safety expert from Spain but living in the UK for the last decade. Our current model is unsustainable and that's we need to use frameworks like Doughnut economics to reshape our local communities and way of living. I have experience in food manufacturing and involvement of civil society and community work.

A.P. at University College London and co-Founder of Global Disability Innovation Hub CIC, I am passionate about creating a more #just and #sustainable future. I resonate with much of the DEAL approach - having rejected economics after my undergrad, and followed a path through social justice and development back to academia (in 2015). I'm excited to wonder what we can do collectively to radically change course. I have a special interest in #disability.

After working for E.LAND, a Korean fashion company, I have been working as a brand consulting and marketer for 15 years since 2008. Since 5 years, I have been studying with interest in E.S.G-related meetings with brands and companies in Korea. The book I found at that time is Donut Economics, and based on this book, I am helping existing companies and brands prepare for a sustainable future from an E.S.G perspective.

I have been working in businesses and initiatives related to climate change and biodiversity for 25 years or so. Wrote a book called Climate Change for Football Fans. Currently I am working on a business I co-founded called Planet League which uses the power of football to mobilise fans to live greener. I have a blog www.thebustard.com but don't write it any more. The older stuff in it is ok though. I'm interested in a range of things related to these topics like the psychology and sociology of environmental issues; how in practice, step-by-step, you wind down the economy; the relationship between mental and physical health and how we harm the environment (inspired by Dr Gabor Maté); cleverer and cheaper ways of doing things (inspired by Hillary Cottam's Radical Help); how you bring the best out of Conservatism for the sake of our society and the planet; keeping fossil fuels in the ground and the work of Dr David Ko; dealing with the crisis of the surface micro layer ... etc. And how all this fits together...

Grassroots initiatives, I 'm really interested in how to reduce the barriers to climate change and the hidden hand breaks which affect those of us who cannot afford solar panels, EV's or funding to mitigate climate change.

I am a second year student pursuing BCom hons from Indore, MP, India. I am also preparing for US CMA simultaneously. I have done 2 research internships and also volunteered at 17th Pravasiya Bhartiya Divas and BAJA SAE INDIA 2023. When I started studying economics in grade 11, I knew that this is what excites me and I want to explore it further. I’m curious about knowing how the world is interconnected economically and socially, this is what drew me to the DEAL community. My interests are aligned with the aim of the DEAL community that is to address social inequalities and ensure that no one falls short on essential needs while staying within the planetary boundary.

Over 19 years of experience with leading local and foreign companies across diverse industrial sectors and functions, I am a results-oriented professional with extensive experience in strategy development, leadership, stakeholder management, and business development. With a strong focus on cross-functional collaboration and analytical skills, I excel in identifying growth opportunities and creating strategic partnerships. At KSBL, I'm responsible for enhancing the school's market position through industry linkages, marketing activities, and representation at industry events. I'm responsible for fundraising strategies, successfully developing an annual fundraising plan and achieving defined targets by raising funds from external sources. Prior to my existing role, I served as the Chief of Staff to the CEO and Rector, where I played a crucial role in driving the institution's overall transformation agenda and achieved significant revenue growth in executive education for select corporate clients and secured substantial grants through a demand-driven narrative. During my tenure at Habib Bank Limited, I held senior leadership positions, including Senior Vice President and Vice President, where I specialized in project finance, retail banking product management, and cash management. I successfully executed complex project finance transactions, negotiated term sheets, and raised substantial debt financing for power plants. Furthermore, I played a key role in designing and launching innovative products, expanding client coverage, and driving revenue growth in cash management. Earlier in my career, I gained valuable experience at Citibank N.A., where I managed the Securities and Issuer Services business and developed new products to meet customer needs. I consistently exceeded revenue targets, grew assets under custody, and secured significant M&A transactions. Additionally, I contributed to the development and launch of a US dollar-denominated investment bond product and facilitated Citi's membership as a custodian clearing member. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University, USA, and have received numerous accolades throughout my career, including the Celent Innovation Award and Global Custodian nominations. I have also undergone extensive training in areas such as leadership, risk management, and consumer risk. Beyond my professional endeavors, I maintain an active interest in physical fitness and organic farming. With a track record of driving growth, fostering strategic partnerships, and achieving exceptional results, I am a dynamic leader with a passion for creating positive change in the business and education sectors.

I'm a statistician with a strong background in data analysis, programming and simulation. I discovered doughnut economics through some video from a spanish ecological activist (Hope movement) and I got really intereseted about it since it integrates social justice and ecological justice in one place. I have experience with huge ammounts of data and specifically I've worked with dynamical systems and complex networks and I would like to apply my knowledge in a research project to help this new model advance.

Lifelong interest in the environment and how we fit within the biosphere. Discovered the concept of Doughnut Economics while studying for my Masters degree, incorporating it into my thesis. DE brings both optimism - showing us how we can live good lives without damaging our natural world - and urgency to create change.

Hi! I am a graphic designer based in Nuremberg, Germany. I'd love to be part of creative projects aimed to empower people and support happier lives for everybody. I think today we have enough tools to actively improve the world starting from our surroundings, and even quickly. Words are not enough, I want to be part of something tangible.
