Over 19 years of experience with leading local and foreign companies across diverse industrial sectors and functions, I am a results-oriented professional with extensive experience in strategy development, leadership, stakeholder management, and business development. With a strong focus on cross-functional collaboration and analytical skills, I excel in identifying growth opportunities and creating strategic partnerships. At KSBL, I'm responsible for enhancing the school's market position through industry linkages, marketing activities, and representation at industry events. I'm responsible for fundraising strategies, successfully developing an annual fundraising plan and achieving defined targets by raising funds from external sources.  Prior to my existing role, I served as the Chief of Staff to the CEO and Rector, where I played a crucial role in driving the institution's overall transformation agenda and achieved significant revenue growth in executive education for select corporate clients and secured substantial grants through a demand-driven narrative. During my tenure at Habib Bank Limited, I held senior leadership positions, including Senior Vice President and Vice President, where I specialized in project finance, retail banking product management, and cash management. I successfully executed complex project finance transactions, negotiated term sheets, and raised substantial debt financing for power plants. Furthermore, I played a key role in designing and launching innovative products, expanding client coverage, and driving revenue growth in cash management. Earlier in my career, I gained valuable experience at Citibank N.A., where I managed the Securities and Issuer Services business and developed new products to meet customer needs. I consistently exceeded revenue targets, grew assets under custody, and secured significant M&A transactions. Additionally, I contributed to the development and launch of a US dollar-denominated investment bond product and facilitated Citi's membership as a custodian clearing member. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University, USA, and have received numerous accolades throughout my career, including the Celent Innovation Award and Global Custodian nominations. I have also undergone extensive training in areas such as leadership, risk management, and consumer risk. Beyond my professional endeavors, I maintain an active interest in physical fitness and organic farming. With a track record of driving growth, fostering strategic partnerships, and achieving exceptional results, I am a dynamic leader with a passion for creating positive change in the business and education sectors.

I'm a statistician with a strong background in data analysis, programming and simulation. I discovered doughnut economics through some video from a spanish ecological activist (Hope movement) and I got really intereseted about it since it integrates social justice and ecological justice in one place. I have experience with huge ammounts of data and specifically I've worked with dynamical systems and complex networks and I would like to apply my knowledge in a research project to help this new model advance.

I am economist, graduate of the University of Athens (1979). After postgraduate studies in "European and International Studies" at the University of Grenoble (France), obtained a PhD at the same university on "Tourism and regional development. The Greek case"at 1985. I worked at the Ministry of the Aegean as expert in regional development (1987-1990). Actually, I'm Professor in the Department of Environment of the Aegean University and teaches in the Graduate Program "Planning, Management and Tourism Policy” in Chios. My research interests are in sustainable development issues focused on islands’ development and tourism planning. As member of the Laboratory of Local and Insular Development, I has participated in many articles, research projects and studies on these topics. Recent studies: "European Islands and Cohesion Policy" (EU/ESPON), «Towards an Observatory and a Quality label of tourism sustainability in the Mediterranean» (UNEP / MAP / Plan Bleu), the “Atlas of Islands” and “Insularity and Sustainability”. I was General Secretary of Aegean and Island Policy at the Ministry of Marine and Aegean during July 2012 - July 2013 and regional councilor at Vorio Aigaio Region since 2014.

I graduated from Cambridge University in 1989 with a degree in veterinary medicine. After two years in farm animal practice I gained a masters in Veterinary Epidemiology and worked for the UK Department for International Development on a livestock development project in Kenya, followed by a PhD at Bristol Veterinary School. I have been employed at the Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (Cefas) -a UK government science agency - since 2001, leading development of epidemiology and risk disciplines. I am a former president of the Society for Veterinary Epidemiology and Economics (SVEPM) and was vice-president of the WOAH Aquatic Animal Health Standards Commission between 2015-21. In 2020 I was awarded an honorary professorship at the University of Liverpool in Epidemiology and Population Health. I have become increasingly interested in the economics and sustainability of aquaculture and the impact of disease.
