I work mostly as a consultant for democracy education and digital transformation at an educational institution in Baden-Württemberg and teach at a school in Freiburg. On the topic of progressive education in a culture of digitality, I write columns, give workshops, give lectures, organize and moderate events, and advise politicians and administrators. In terms of net policy, I am at home at D64 - Center for Digital Progress, where I was on the board from 2018 to 2022. Because I firmly believe that the Digital Transformation also needs a space for information, exchange, ideas and networking at the municipal level, I have joined forces with many like-minded people from the region to launch some events and networks. In addition, I am part of a group that founded the Institute for Progressive Examination Culture, in order to find progressive solutions for a central problem of the education system together with various actors. Because ecological, economic, political, democratic... problems are interrelated, I am looking for solutions.

I am working as an architect and urban planner in Stavanger Area in Southwestern Norway. This urban area currently transitions away from purely oil & gas business and try to develop a broader "Energy Capital" image of itself. Parts of this development leads to progressive urban planning, interesting low-energy new buildings. I have extensive experience both as an urban planner in the local authority, a project lead in urban development projects and I have already been a part of a couple of Dougnut Economics Initiatives in Stavanger area.

I am Mark Bollen, founder of WaterMark, #environmental engineer and #pragmatic #innovator. My goal is to help others realize their regenerative projects with inspiration, goal setting & tools & methods, while working on their first impact step. I focus mainly on climate change mitigation & adaptation & biodiversity loss. Open collaboration with multiple partners is crucial in my opinion. Together with a variety of purpose-driven entrepreneurs, collectives & organisations covering a variety of expertise we aim to build a new resilient world step by step, project by project. After 15 years of engineering, consultancy & innovation in the waterworld (hence the name), I shifted my focus to #innovation, future #foresight studies & facilitation of processes 5 years ago. I have worked with corporations, public partners, organisations & knowledge institutes as well as small & medium enterprises in various sectors. I have studied & worked on challenges related to #watermanagement, #environmentalimpact, #renewableenergy, #climatechangeadaptation, #resourcescarcity, new technologies, nature based solutions & circularity. I am a no-nonsense pragmatist that likes to help others realise their aspirations & dreams.

I am a GP with an interest in how we make health and social care sustainable, for our planet, and the workforce delivering care. I am convinced our best approach is a collective and involving approach to mutual support. People gain better health and wellbeing when they participate in looking after themselves and others. I recognise that at different points in life people need more or less support to achieve this, physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally.

Gaul Culley

For Gaul, her work is not just about a house, it’s about connecting deeply with what her clients need and what the house and larger community can offer them. She’s helped hundreds of families over the last five years find their forever homes, invest in properties they continue to build wealth in, and put roots down in the Solano County area. Striking an artful balance in these areas culminates in a deeper connection for her clients to the specialness of the places they call home – which is what Gaul’s life’s work has become. Before finding her calling in Real Estate, Gaul explored her artistic talents and spent most of her career working on large scale community art installations. These projects connected her with a network of individuals that care so deeply for their cities and towns all up and down the west coast, and inspired her to understand more about what it takes to make a thriving community. In her journey she has built a team of well-respected lenders, tradespeople, marketing specialists, and creatives that make buying or selling a home with Gaul an efficient and effective process. She is a capable multi-tasker and problem-solver and is not shaken with the ever-changing conditions of the real estate market. Throughout your Real Estate relationship, Gaul will remain a calming, trustworthy, and competent advocate for you. In her time outside of the office, Gaul creates sustainable support for animals in crisis during natural disasters through her work in co-founding the Benicia Dog Festival – a one day, fundraising event created in response to the wildfires of 2017 that so deeply affected our northern California animal residents. She serves as Board of Director for the Solano Association of Realtors, and is a member of the Women’s Council of Realtors.

I'm an ecologist working in the construction industry, with increasing interest in circular economy work and sustainable finance to address the drivers of climate change and biodiversity loss. Whilst these both offer hope, Doughnut Economic thinking has really grabbed my attention because it captures the holistic approach needed for truly sustainable living, and thus I wish to promote it within my lines of work.

Crisis is the crack through which the light gets in. Change is here and it is a chance to take the leap from yesterday's economy to regenerative ways of working and living. After 20+ years in law and international law firms I continue my work with individuals and organisations to to inspire fresh thinking, create regenerative solutions and resilience in organisations, teams and for individuals. Who I am: Co-Founder of www.nRole.de, an academy for sustainable and regenerative business practices. We design learning programs that speak to head, hand and heart and bring the entire organisation together in profound transformation. I am also a consultant, trainer, coach and certified yoga and mediation teacher, and lawyer. What I do: Open new perspectives, ask questions that inspire reflection and learning and help navigate uncertain times and unknown territory, help question outdated narratives and take the eagle view that looks beyond business as usual to create a regenerative future. Where I am at home: Among trees and in the margins, between stories, times, and beliefs, next to the crack through which the light gets in. ALWAYS ACT SO AS TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF OPTIONS. Yosui Kawatani
sendai/japan
Hello. My name is Yosui Kawatani. I am a sole proprietor (trade name: Feel Layer) and I am working with my colleagues in Japan. I feel a sense of crisis that the world is now on the verge of collapse in terms of both the environment, economy, and society, and I am considering a post-capitalist society relative to the capitalist society. To achieve this, it is necessary to catch accurate and creative information quickly and use it appropriately. In recent years, doughnut economics has been attracting attention and being valued by communities that question excessive capitalism and technocracy, but there is still a noticeable delay in reaching social implementation, especially in Japan. That is why I would like to participate in the DOUGHNUT ECONOMICS ACTION LAB, not only to bring inspiration and ideas to my personal activities, but also to participate in the activities of the DOUGHNUT ECONOMICS ACTION LAB and work for the realization of a sustainable economy in Japan. I would like to move.
