I'm an engineer, psychologist, cognitive scientist, designer. And an author (best known for doors you can't work properly (Norman doors) and my book "Design of Everyday Things." Now I am writing a book about the mess the world is in, and what we must do to get out of it. We have to switch from economic models that try to use a single measure, and worse, in monetary terms. My favorite alternative is the Doughnut model.

Hi. It's great to be a part of this community. I'm looking forward to sharing a proposal and action steps in due course, which relate to sustainable and regenerative housing options using the principles of Doughnut Economics and Permaculture. A little about me ... essentially, I'm an educator, facilitator and 'joiner of dots' who enjoys connecting people and ideas. I'm an Agricultural Economist, who like Kate Raworth, have always been disillusioned with the narrowness and inaccuracies of classical Economics, choosing as my career, teaching and personal development using the outdoors as a medium for learning. I have a Graduate Diploma in Education and more recently a Master of Disaster Resilience and Sustainable Development. I am passionate about the effectiveness of LISTENING, as the key QI (soft) skill of the 21st century; LISTENING to the other, not to respond but to understand and then maybe to respond, LISTENING with respect in order to FIND NEW GROUND.

Founder of 2022 Initiative Foundation and Sustainable Development Sweden, through which I've been instrumental in the Swedish Government's decision to host the Stockholm+50 UN Conference 2-3 June 2022. The conference marks the 50-year Anniversary of the Stockholm Conference and the formation of UNEP and by linking it to that it's also approximately halfway to 2030 since 2015, it will accelerate action to reach the SDGs and in particular the environmental and climate related issues of the SDGs. I also arrange dialogue meetings and work with training and e.g. include Doughnut Economy book as course literature.
