An Invitation from Kate Raworth
Watch this special message from Kate Raworth, author of Doughnut Economics, inviting all local organisers to join the global movement for Global Donut Days 2025:
What is Global Donut Days?
Global Donut Days (GDD) is a four-day, community-led festival, held online and in-person around the world, centred on Doughnut Economics, from 14 - 17 October 2025.
Global Donut Days is a time to celebrate and inspire the DEAL Community worldwide and an opportunity to foster global connections.
Last year, Global Donut Days saw participation in over 30 countries, over 80 places, through over 100 events and with more than four thousand people across four days. Check out the worldwide action in our Global Donut Days 2024 aftermovie:
Who can create Global Donut Days with us?
We're inviting past and any new local organisers to join us for Global Donut Days 2025 following the massive success of last year's festival.
Build solidarity with local organisers such as Doughnut Economics Scotland Network (Scotland), Coalición Tricolor (Mexico), and DonutZip (South Korea) who joined us last year - why not add your place to the mix?
Any local group, network or organisation following the DEAL Principles & Guidelines can organise events for Global Donut Days and like last year, we welcome local governments that are working with Doughnut Economics to organise events, as well! This year, we’re also inviting individuals, specifically teachers, students and academics, to participate in Global Donut Days.
