DONUT LATAM is a network of volunteers from academia and civil society who, inspired by Doughnut Economics, have come together to develop a vision for Latin America that enables its people to prosper in a way that is fairer, more inclusive, greener and regenerative - within our planetary boundaries.

I am always seeking to contribute to more regenerative/sustainable, ethical, and eco-socially just world. Doughnut Economics excites and inspires me for its potential to transform cities! My career journey has taken me into multiple sectors (technology, tourism, urban planning, academia, community non-profit, arts), but in all this work I have never strayed from my focus on socio-ecological justice. I am a hybrid cultural anthropologist / geographer who is building awareness of inclusive and regenerative tourism and placemaking in cities, with strategies focused on benefitting (versus exploiting) local communities (and the environment). I have a particular interest in addressing the enduring legacies of colonialism and imperialism. Transdisciplinary professional with more than 14 years of work experience. Respected experience in multilateral environmental agreements and cooperation for land area-based conservation measures, with a sustainable use and climate-smart view (mainly focused in ecosystem-based and community-based adaptation measures). Sound performance in project design and implementation (with knowledge in open standards for conservation), multi-country/multi-sector program management, capacity development, high level advisory, large event leadership, negotiation and stakeholder engagement. On-going career in biodiversity conservation, with recognized experience in conservation finance, policy strategy advice, protected areas and landscape conservation at the national and regional levels. Volunteer in networks for women in conservation such as Women in Nature Network and the Latin America and Caribbean of Women in Conservation. With a broad taste for forming and maintaining working spaces for the creation of collective solutions to problems in complex systems.
