Donut Wien (Doughnut Vienna)
The goal of Donut Wien (Doughnut Vienna) is to create a city that is able to meet the needs of its citizens within planetary boundaries, in a way that also supports the global shift to a socially-just and regenerative economic system.
Initially founded at a climate strike in 2023, we were a core organising partner of the Beyond Growth Austria Conference held in Vienna in May 2024.
In 2025 we officially formed an association and began working on a project to create a Doughnut Compass for the city, to accelerate policies and structures that can help more citizens, organisations and businesses take part in the transformation.

I am a team member of Donut Wien (Doughnut Vienna) and want to help bring Vienna into the doughnut. One of our core projects is to create a city portrait of Vienna, which shall serve as a compass for the city's transformation (and hopefully also as a model for further doughnuts in Austria and abroad). Over the last 25 years I have been working in business consulting, international development cooperation, public R&D funding and as finance manager in small biotech companies.
