Axel Eriksson is a PhD candidate in Sustainability Science and Biology at the University of Lisbon, Centre Associate at the Stockholm Resilience Centre, and youth delegate for the European Economic and Social Committee at COP.
In his lecture he asked:
How can we navigate a world where seven out of nine planetary boundaries have been crossed? And how can we carry the knowledge of what this implies in a way that empowers us to both envision and contribute to a more sustainable future?
This lecture was the first part of a day themed around the future; it combines Axel’s research on planetary boundaries with his personal experiences—reaching all the way to the highest levels of the UN. The focus were on the planet and our relationship with it. This event was organized in collaboration with the Stockholm Doughnut Economics network, as part of the annual Global Doughnut Days.
