GDD 2026 - Youth Shape the City: Zabrze 2064
As part of Global Donut Days 2026, we took the opportunity to talk with young people in Zabrze about our projects, including Doughnut Economics and Global Donut Days, and to explore their ideas for the city’s future.
The conversations continued in the afternoon with a workshop for members of the Youth European Club, using the “City Portrait” method to reflect on Zabrze, its strengths and challenges, and its future development.
By creating space for young people to share their perspectives, we encouraged them to think about what kind of city they want to live in and how they can contribute to shaping its future.
