As an economics undergraduate I became very disenchanted by the traditional economic theories and decided not to pursue a career in the area. Having read donut economics back in 2017 and recently discovering DEAL, I’m looking for new ways to contribute towards a community which is looking to redirect society towards policies that improve lives in a more sustainable, equitable and holistic way. #netzero #carboncapture

Meaningful work derives from the search for solutions, processes and collaborations to let us all hand over a better world to our children than what we're looking at right now in 2023.

I am a seasoned Business Developer with extensive experience from the Lifestyle & Design and Robotics industries. My commitment to sustainability has led me on a self-funded I transition to a Purpose-Driven Sustainability Advocate where I am exploring the convergence of technology, human behavior, and overproduction in the fashion industry. I discovered Doughnut Economics through a LinkedIn post, and it immediately resonated with me. Its simplicity and effectiveness make it an easily digestible Framework for developing action plans to transition companies towards a regenerative and distributed design approach. I joined DEAL community as I am keen to learn more about the concept and what is already happening in Denmark and how I can help locally aswell as globally.

I am an student of 3th semester of PhD. on economics at the Economic Research Institute of National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). My research is about biophisical limits of mexican economy, but I have a strong interest to develop a doughnut economic model for Mexican economy. I would really love to receive guidance in this regard. I had worked on climate change since 2007, mostly on GHG mitigation actions and GHG inventories using GHG protocol and IPCC guidelines. I worked for 8 yearsat the National Institute of Ecology and Climate Change (INECC), I and I was part of the team that developed the Fourth and Fifth National Communications, and First BUR for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). But it was right after this job that I realized I had to know economics, and I did a master's degree in economics at the same institute. I believe that economics has led humanity in actions and thought, and if you want to make a proposal, it should go in that direction. I am also taking the second module of Common earth and I can contribute to this network everything I know about ecological footprints, carbon footprints, emissions inventories and systems thinking, as well as what will result from my research.

As managing director of the hilbra GmbH I have developed a management system that shows the economic, social and ecological costs of our products and also how we can compensate them. A short overview you find in the following research report: https://www.tib.eu/de/suchen/id/TIBKAT:1837328382/Easy-EPD-Teilvorhaben-3-Anforderungsprofil-%C3%96kobilanzierung?cHash=3417d6ddc591995c9cae5bd974ab5e5b With our sustaincoin we make these results visible. The sustaincoin is also a communication tool in our sustaiability reports: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/319467762_Der_SustainCoin_als_Nachhaltigkeitslabel https://www.hilbra.de/images/Nachhaltigkeitsberichte/aktualisiert/Nachhaltigkeitsbericht_23.pdf With my senseholder concept I am looking for a new opportunity that slowly the homo eoconomicus, or known as rational man, can leave the scene. In addition I am an university lecturer. In this function, with the structural engineer students, I figure out how to calculate more sustainable building details. The managementsystem I developed in business I also can use as education tool. The concept of a "Down to Earth Economy" I have developed is a monetary system. Knowing that not everything can be expressed by money I see an enormes potential in the doughnut economic view.

I'm an Australian social & corporate planner, researcher & writer with qualifications in environmental science, education, sociology & management. I am deeply concerned about the impacts of humans on our planet and its biodiversity. So many human societies, their priorities and values, embed shocking disregard for nature. I know the need is urgent to find holistic ways of living and accounting. I am excited about the potential of 'regenerative' approaches and Kate Raworth's work, to offer sound ways forward.

I strive for having biodiversity and environmental aspects included as part of decision-making. Not as an add-on, but as an intrinsic part. The big question is, how? My idea is that perhaps the doughnut model could be used as a decision-making tool. So, this is what I am working towards. With a background as both a biologists (MSc) and Master in Business Administration, I hope to enhance systemic thinking and view all trade-offs in order to make better informed decisions.

I am a former CEO of a private company manufacturing capital goods for the steel industry. While I have lived and benefitted from the growth mindset, since retiring I have been searching for a movement that can start to change the way our society works. My focus had been on politics but every where I looked at political movements I saw such firmly entrenched opposition to change that I could not see a way to start change that could be successful. After reading "Donought Economics" my eyes were opened to the possibility of focusing on economic change with the many small ways that grass roots efforts could make change develop from the bottom up. I still believe that political change is necessary but with an economic movement developing momentum political change may become inevitable.
