From consumerism mercenary to change catalyst. After a decade building marketing strategies that maximized profits, I had an uncomfortable but necessary revelation: my skills were serving the wrong system. My transformation began when I saw myself for what I really was: a "consumerism mercenary." But I also discovered something powerful; the same tools I used to drive consumption could become amplifiers of systemic solutions. Why this transition mattersMillions of professionals are experiencing the same "awakening" I went through. We need bridges between the commercial world and social sector—translators who help scale innovations that truly matter. My north star: That my work generates community autonomy, not product dependency. What I bring to the social innovation ecosystem• Applied systems thinking: Translating complex ideas into narratives that mobilize communities • Regenerative strategic sommunication: 12+ years helping organizations articulate their transformative purpose • Collaborative leadership: Developing team autonomy, not hierarchical dependency • Transition facilitation: Expert at navigating undefined spaces and innovating without clear roadmaps. Does this transition resonate with you? Would you lead social innovation projects together? 📧 Let's connect: t.link/rodrigoponton [Communications + Sustainability]

Stirling, Scotland
I feel called to help bring forth a more coherent and harmonious way of living for all. Kate's teachings are energising and inspire me to use my skills to help on a practical level. I also follow Charles Eisenstein's work and am part of the New and Ancient Story (NaAS) community, a place where like-hearted people connect to share ideas on how we can remember our humanity to heal and build a better future together. My professional background is in marketing, and until recently I have been developing behaviour change campaigns for public health and safety. Through that work, I have seen how fear directs our society and I think it's time to change that. I am involved with a handful of community charities and projects, and see potential for change, but also the many roadblocks. I am on the Board of Trustees for Creative Stirling, a creative network for the city of Stirling (Scotland), that asserts change through enterprise, arts and culture working with and for all of Stirling’s diverse communities. Now I am signing up to DEAL to better understand how it works and how to bring positive change to Stirling via the networks that I have. Pleasure to be here.

My foremost passion is organising people for power, reviving grassroots democracy. I firmly believe this issue is at the heart of most challenges facing society today. I’m a former Mechanical Engineer with Project Management experience. I’ve worked with national and local campaigns on issues of global and social justice on a variety of issues. My recent focus has been community organising on social housing estates in South London and now co-ordinating communities and campaigns in developing genuinely affordable community-led housing throughout the city.

I am an student of 3th semester of PhD. on economics at the Economic Research Institute of National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). My research is about biophisical limits of mexican economy, but I have a strong interest to develop a doughnut economic model for Mexican economy. I would really love to receive guidance in this regard. I had worked on climate change since 2007, mostly on GHG mitigation actions and GHG inventories using GHG protocol and IPCC guidelines. I worked for 8 yearsat the National Institute of Ecology and Climate Change (INECC), I and I was part of the team that developed the Fourth and Fifth National Communications, and First BUR for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). But it was right after this job that I realized I had to know economics, and I did a master's degree in economics at the same institute. I believe that economics has led humanity in actions and thought, and if you want to make a proposal, it should go in that direction. I am also taking the second module of Common earth and I can contribute to this network everything I know about ecological footprints, carbon footprints, emissions inventories and systems thinking, as well as what will result from my research.

Sílvia Correia
Braga, Portugal
Hi, my name is Sílvia, I live in the wonderful city of Braga upt in the North of Portugal. I am a trained economist, a marketing enthusiast and a social entrepreneur at heart. I started my own business in Marketing & Communication in 2010 and in 2020 I founded my own brand: re.store! re.store is the Planet-and-People friendly brand built on the circularuty principles. We upcycle textile waste, leftovers and samples from the Portuguese textile industry (so far, +6.e tons) and transform them into new, functional products with a purpose. All our products are stitched by our social partners (social institutions, refugees, prison inmates, social causes) to whom we pay a financial salary (+€58k so far) and an emotional one because we foster their self esteem and sense of belonging in society. We also share our experience, stories and motivation at schools and universities as well as in organizations because we believe we must contribute to the collective awareness that we need to change and transform our consumer behaviour. And this is the 3rd P in our strategy: Pedagogy for change (1st being People and 2nd being Planet). I am thrilled to be able to join this community, to share our experience and concerns and learn from others, thus contributing to the importance of a sustainable and socially inclusive TOMORROW!
