How can businesses thrive while respecting people and planetary boundaries? Engineer by education, I started my career as a management consultant, helping companies with their growth strategies. About 10 years ago, I decided to focus on sustainable innovation, supporting companies in developing greener, circular solutions. However, I have come to realize that, to address the social and environmental crises we face, we need to go beyond incremental innovation and fix our economic and business systems. Today, I am exploring how businesses can rethink their purpose, legacy, goals, structure, and strategies to help drive the change we need. I am inspired by, amongst other, Doughnut Economics, Post-growth Economics, Purpose Economics, Sufficiency economics, Steward-ownership, Net-positive businesses.... And, I am happy to connect with anyone on these topics.

Expeditie 02050 helps the province of Limburg on its way to a sustainable model of existence in which people, animals and nature flourish. I encourage SMEs and other organizations in Limburg to integrate sustainability into their business strategy/design. Together we determine the sustainable direction, realization and rules of the game. Very practical, accessible, step by step and with lots of positive impact. The Doughnut Design for Business is a wonderful tool to facilitate this. I cannot wait to bring it into practice and share my experiences with you.

Hi! I'm a coach in interpersonal communication and leadership, a design thinking facilitator for sustainable innovations and a TEDx speaker. I have helped a diversity of clients to impulse ecological change within organisations: in the last decades, I have facilitated boot camps with intrapreneurs, collaborative management with NGOs, co-creation sessions with French government agencies and taught entrepreneurship at business schools. When I discovered Doughnut Design for Business, I was amazed at how it was designed to spread and how efficient it could be to sow seeds of hope and possibilities worldwide.

Conventional processes are failing to tackle complex, social and environmental problems and in some cases are generating ‘black swan’ consequences. I recognize that I am a contributor to this problem as I am part of the broken system that I want to change and I realise that doing ‘less harm’ is no longer enough. Regeneration of our economies and societies and earth itself will require a shift in thinking and collaboration in a community like this.

I have been advising business owners on how to start, build and grow their business for more than 20 years. I also gave them advice on how to sell their business. Upon stumbling on the Doughnut economics book in 2023, I have realized that most of the theory on which our economy is built is flawed. And I have started to question the purpose of growing businesses. I am now trying to reconcile how I can help people achieve their potential and preserve our planet, while building beneficial companies (regenerative and distributive ones). I am also interested in discovering how we can ensure that people find other ways to fulfill the need to feel good inside themselves with more community and less consumption.

Hi, I am Melanie, a finance profesionnal for over 16 years after studies of Business Administration and some Economics. In the last 8 years, besindes Finance, I was in charge of CSR of a SME in Geneva and my interest in sustainable business transformation gott bigger every day though often created conflictual interests with my financial objectives. I got increasingly ambitious in digging beyond carbon accounting in business' strategy and governance and beyond business in the bigger picture of the system we are operating and living in. This is how I got interested in Donut Economics - quite late actually - and I was immediately fascinated by the logical and inclusive concept but moreover by Kate Raworth visionary and highly encouraging speeches. I am as well a big supporter of peer mentoring and collective intelligence for creating better ideas, innovation and engagement. As an enthousiastic cyclist in the city and in the mountains, I am very interested in mobility topics especially in terms of urban policies and transformation in my local environment and believe that the concept of the 15-minute city is part of the solution. #15-minute city
