I love helping people with any jewellery that needs repairing or gentle re-designing. My workshop can't handle a full melt-down-and-remodel kind of service but I'm happy to adjust or edit pieces that already exist, provide a quick re-polish, etc. I also occasionally do work on commission for friends and family, and am working on a way to expand that network locally as well as internationally in the most sustainable way. In my part-time work as a teacher of jewellery history I plan to integrate as much visibility of the doughnut into the syllabus as possible (sustainable materials and techniques) to inspire my students to think 'inside the doughnut'.

For over 8 years I was building a "predestined" career in hospitality thanks to certain pressures from our family business. After years of yearning for a purpose and a more fulfilling career & lifestyle, I recently "greenquit" my job in luxury hospitality and started working at a cleantech company in Norway. I've been increasingly intrigued and inspired by learning about climate science, degrowth, circular economy and frankly any topic related to a more sustainable future. Of course it wasn't long until I heard about Doughnut Economics. Since this shift, I've been motivated and excited to understand the challenges that ail our society & environment, and find ways to contribute to the solutions required to overcome them.

With a lifelong interest in protecting the natural environment from the ravages of human activity, I have followed, with great interest, many issues and trends in science and technology, as well as human endeavor, that offer glimpses of a sustainable future for our species and our planet. I've worked in energy #conservation, building efficiency science, and renewable energy. My recent focus has been on the use of biocomposite materials in housing, specifically hemp-lime construction, which promises a more sustainable way forward through the present housing crisis, addressing issues related to , #carbon capture, materials toxicity, moisture vapor management, and acoustical mitigation. "If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem."

I am a professional engineer since 1996. I am just starting a career pivot, taking the UVic MBA in Sustainable Innovation, expected grad 2027. I have three kids, ages 16, 19, and 20. I am interested in ensuring the future of life on Earth, not just survival but thriving. The model really resonated with me. I have questions about and and what that looks like in the business world.

I am Brazilian and I live in the Atlantic Forest in the Southeast region of the country, in Vale do Paraíba - between Serra da Mantiqueira and Serra do Mar. I have been a sustainabilityist for 20 years and I have been working with communication and socio-environmental education since then. Regeneration, nature, forests, conservation, climate, communication, humanism, socialtechnology are some of the topics that interest me. A few years ago, I was very interested when I found out about the book Donut Economy and bought it to learn more about this dimension of sustainability. I recently found the Donut Brasil whatsapp group and joined in early 2022, when I had the opportunity to participate in the Reading Club to study the book's chapters and, since then, I've been learning, unlearning, exchanging and getting inspired about the thoughts, doings and relevant local and planetary issues that lead us to distributive and regenerative economies...

I studied economics and started questioning the economic models. This is how I first learned about the donut economy - a new approach which I find very inspiring. I want to help spread the word and make people aware that there are different approaches besides capitalisms out there - more social more sustainable. Less is more and growth is not always the solution for everything. We need to understand to give and let those societies grow which really need it. I'm very much interested in city projects like the one in Amsterdam which apply the donut approach for the first time. Those are projects which really inspire and show that different ways are possible.

I run a boutique circular economy and sustainability consultancy in Australia, but support clients globally. Our goal is to have as significant positive impact on the worlds challenges such as the material transition and value chain decarbonisation. I utilise the planetary boundaries framework in my assessments but am wanting to transition this to the doughnut framework to highlight to companies the positive and negative impacts they are contributing to.

I am an ambitious and enthusiastic food business consultant. With 12 years experience within the small and medium sized coffee roastery business and some corporate experience, I have recently taken the step to go self employed with the mission for all European Coffee Roasteries to be organised in such a way they can focus on the work they like to do like roasting coffee and selling beautiful products, rather than overhauling systems and instructions. Thereby accomodating companies to step out of the current capitalistic status quo and continuing to focus on their own drive and passion, whilst working within a sustainable business model, My interests lie in , , and

Hi! I'm a coach in interpersonal communication and leadership, a design thinking facilitator for sustainable innovations and a TEDx speaker. I have helped a diversity of clients to impulse ecological change within organisations: in the last decades, I have facilitated boot camps with intrapreneurs, collaborative management with NGOs, co-creation sessions with French government agencies and taught entrepreneurship at business schools. When I discovered Doughnut Design for Business, I was amazed at how it was designed to spread and how efficient it could be to sow seeds of hope and possibilities worldwide.

As an economics undergraduate I became very disenchanted by the traditional economic theories and decided not to pursue a career in the area. Having read donut economics back in 2017 and recently discovering DEAL, I’m looking for new ways to contribute towards a community which is looking to redirect society towards policies that improve lives in a more sustainable, equitable and holistic way. #netzero #carboncapture

Lifelong interest in the environment and how we fit within the biosphere. Discovered the concept of Doughnut Economics while studying for my Masters degree, incorporating it into my thesis. DE brings both optimism - showing us how we can live good lives without damaging our natural world - and urgency to create change.

Hi, I'm Helen and I manage an apprenticeship programme in central London. I'm also studying for my Masters in sustainability. I'm interested in making steps towards circularity within my work, where possible, equipping the next generation with the skills to embed circularity within their own practice and to meet other people on the same journey.
