Global Capitalism is leading us into significant ecological overshoot and extreme social deprivation. We know this for many reasons, one of which is that Andrew Fanning, along with Kate Raworth, have recently released the Doughnut 3.0 outlining data from over the last 20 plus years that support the conclusion that capitalism is still leaving billions of people in deprivation while pushing Earth beyond its safe limits.
Andrew Fanning is the Data Analysis & Research Lead here at Doughnut Economics Action Lab and a Visiting Research Fellow in the Sustainability Research Institute, he is also the co-author with Kate Raworth of βDoughnut of social and planetary boundaries monitors a world out of balanceβ published in Nature in October 2025.
Huge thanks to Andrew for his research and for joining me in this conversation!
Hereβs to moving closer to a world where everyone can thrive β within the means of our living planet. ππ
