The Finnish Doughnut Economics toolbox was created on the basis of DEAL's tools in Doughnut Economics of Finland -project. The project was a collaboration between University of Jyväskylä School of Resource Wisdom, City of Jyväskylä and the Council of Tampere Region. It was funded by the Finnish innovation fund Sitra. In addition to the creation of the Doughnut Economics toolbox, the project organized workshops and raised awareness of Doughnut Economics in Finland.

The toolbox has already raised interest amongst Finnish municipalities, and 140 people participated in the launch event for the toolbox.
