I now have more than 20 years of experience in facilitating regional and local participatory sustainability initiatives in more than 60 communities, with NGOs, business, universities and local governments. I started a PhD in Climate Change and Sustainable Development Policies in 2016 at the University of Lisbon. I am dedicating to climate participatory action research, exploring synergies between community-led initiatives and local governments, working at the Centre for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Changes and supporting the Transition movement. I am a Climate Reality Leader trained by Al Gore. Most significant projects at the moment are Municipalities in Transition and the Awakened Life Project. Member of Coopérnico (energy cooperative) and the Lisbon cohort of The Regenerative Practitioner Series.

Architect, curious, critic and optimistic, I’m FabLab Lisboa program coordinator, Repair Café Lisboa co-founder, Reviravolta mentor and Fábrica Cívica underdog. Worked many years at the rehabilitation department of Lisbon’s city council. Now I’m into: Creative Hubs - the power of “do it together”, Circular Economy Portugal Association, and enjoying being a fellow of Urban Arenas for Just and Sustainable cities (UE Program). I've been looking to this world in change since I subscribed to the national geographic magazine in the year 1982 so almost 40 years looking at what we are doing to our cities and planet was a drive to adhere to the Doughnut Economics Action Lab community.

Every problem is an opportunity. If you create the right mindset you'll see it this way too. I like an environment where strategic thinking, fast-paced organizations, data-driven, and analytical reasoning, creativity, and curiosity are required.

Mechanical Engineer specialized on Urban Sustainable Technologies by Buenos Aires University. My master thesis mixed anthropology and engineering on an effort to design based on social practices. Right now I am coordinating a citizen-led initiative do develop a youth local manifesto for my hometown, Anadia, in Center Portugal. The answers from an inquiry made to the population reveal that the Doughnut might give the directions to answer the challenges identified.
