Stewards of the forest

What we care about. What we can show. How we connect

Nairobi, this is where the city breathes! πŸŒ³πŸ™οΈ

On October 16th, we invite you to walk with the guardians of that breath: the Youth for Ngong Road Forest. For GDD 2025, these passionate young stewards are turning the forest itself into a living classroom for Doughnut Economics.

They pose three simple yet profound questions:
🧑 What do we care about? The forest, our shared commons, our collective health.
πŸ–€ What can we show? The tangible results of community-led rewilding and care.
🧑 How do we connect? The undeniable link between a thriving ecosystem and a thriving city.

This isn't a lecture; it's a living exhibition. Through a forest walk enriched with art and poetry, the youth will showcase the intricate relationships between the forest's boundaries and our city's wellbeing. See the Doughnut not as a theory, but as a truth written in the leaves of the trees and the voices of its protectors.

Come and feel the pulse of urban regeneration. Stand in solidarity with the youth who are stewarding our future.
