Join us at the next S&E peer-learning gathering connecting people working at the intersection of games and education

Doughnut Economics Action Lab (DEAL) welcomes you to join the next peer-to-peer learning space exploring ways to enable, connect and amplify a diverse community of practice in the field of Schools and Education around the world.
We will build on the energy, deepen, and amplify the work of teachers, young people, administrators, curriculum designers, and all community members pushing for transformative action to bring DE into the classroom and beyond. Including both formal/informal and rural/urban spaces.
Join us for a one-hour session that will include:
- A conversation among interest groups in the schools and education space to nurture DE's community of practice.
- Deep dive on sharing resources, and/or initiatives from peers working with Doughnut Economics learning tools. Our guest this session is Zbyszek Janczukowicz, founder at Nausika Educational Foundation, who will be sharing experiences in designing game-based educational programs, and teaching others how to implement games that contribute towards thriving futures.
- Space to open up new pathways for collaboration (e.g. opportunities, learnings, and challenges)
This and future sessions will be shaped organically, reflecting the outcomes of participants’ conversations. The intention is to create an informal, but safe and trusting space for conversation, which can also support practitioners from around the world. With this in mind, the spirit of these peer learning spaces is that there's no single ‘expert’ and we're all here as learners. We will all have something to contribute, whether that be to listen, to reflect, to share your personal experience or to share some ideas. The content of each session will be evolving and adapting as we go!
Upon registration, you will receive an email confirmation. Please use the link in the email to add the event to your calendar. We may contact you with additional details and additional resources to start sharing examples, insights and questions. If at any stage you realise you can’t attend, please cancel your registration via the link in your confirmation email.
If you would like to know more about the session, or if you have any access requirements, please email Carolina Escobar-Tello at carolina@doughnuteconomics.org, Schools & Education Lead at DEAL, who will be facilitating this session.

I am a certified teacher of philosophy and ethics, who never worked in a school because couldn’t fit into the system. Since 2018 I manage Nausika Educational Foundation in Kraków (Poland) and spend my life designing game-based educational programs and teaching others how to implement games for a positive social impact. I believe that truly innovative game mechanics can reshape the thinking about the world. My values and fields of action include sustainability competences (Green Comp framework), social and planetary justice (Doughnut Economics models) and role-playing techniques to empower personal development and understand cultural heritage. I have acted as trainer and facilitator at over 40 Erasmus+ Training Courses and Youth Exchanges, applied for and coordinated over 12 international EU projects, designed and mentored the creation and publication of over 24 educational games.
