On 8 July, we invite the DEAL community to join the free international webinar (with english/spanish/portuguese translations):

“Regenerative Futures and Rio”

The conversation will explore a central question: how can Rio de Janeiro transform its creativity, diversity, knowledge and capacity for innovation into concrete responses to social, environmental and economic challenges?

The panel brings together:

• Daniel Nowack, Head of Social Innovation at the World Economic Forum and the Schwab Foundation; 
• Carol Tomaz, New Economies researcher at the University of Brasília and cofounder of Donut Brasil; 
•  moderated by Lucimara Letelier, founder of RegeneraCultura, member of Donut Brasil and a practitioner working at the intersection of culture and regeneration. 

They will connect perspectives on social innovation, new economies and place-based practices, asking how we can create the conditions for meaningful solutions to emerge, connect and gain strength.

The webinar will also officially launch Festival Regenera and the first Regenera Challenge – Solutions for Rio de Janeiro, coordinated by Yunus Social Business and Alumni PUC-Rio. The Challenge will seek to identify and strengthen initiatives, projects and businesses from across Brazil whose solutions can contribute to Rio’s future.
