The Doughnut Coalition Hamburg was officially established in April 2021 after an inspiring online event hosted by Gemeinwohlökonomie Hamburg & hamburg.global, in which Kate Raworth presented her economic model which attracted a large audience. Since then, our coalition has developed its structure and is now composed of three working groups (indicators, public relations and storytelling, networking and politics) which meet regularly.
We use the Doughnut as a tool to achieve social-ecological transformation in Hamburg. Our current goals are to grow and strengthen the local doughnut community, increase its visibility and to develop a set of indicators for our city. We are interested in working with individuals and organizations that are also committed to a socially just life for all people within planetary boundaries.
Interested in joining the Doughnut Coalition Hamburg? Every first Monday of the month we organize a get-together which you are more than welcome to join and where you can meet old and new members of the group.
