I am currently a journalist and a sustainability communication professional, soon to be an MBA candidate and on my way to becoming a practitioner and catalyst for the regenerative and circular economy. Catharina Any Sulistyowati (Any) has a Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia, and a Master Degree in Development Studies from the Institute of Social Studies, The Hague, Netherlands. She joined a two-year fellowship at the Leadership for Environment and Development (LEAD) in 1998-2000 and Donella Meadows Leadership Fellows Program in 2007-2008. She is the founder and coordinator of KAIL, a not-for-profit organization in Indonesia that facilitates learning and action planning processes for sustainable development. Through KAIL, she had facilitated various groups, such as young people, the urban poor, village leaders, women, government, and social organizations.

Nandu  S Nair is a research scholar at Tuscany Universities PhD program in Economics at the University of Pisa, Florence and Siena, Italy working on the themes of Public Debt, Income Inequality and Developing Economies. He has completed a Master's in Economics from the Centre for Economic Studies and Planning (CESP), Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and then worked as an Academic Associate in Economics Area at the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode. His areas of interest include mainly Developmental Macroeconomics and Public Finance. Apart from academics, he co-founded Economiga, a platform for economic aspirants in India. Nandu also plays eastern percussion instruments and enjoys playing football in his past time.

5 years ago after organizing a Family Day for 2,500 people, I saw the balance in waste and became aware of the great environmental damage that can be done just for fun, I was shocked. Immediately afterwards, I created green devices where the children learned to separate at source for better use, since this material was then taken away by cooperatives to sell it for recycling, thus infecting their parents and we managed to mitigate, but the enthusiasm did not last long. I could quickly see that the third R (recycle) is by far the most ineffective. I researched, studied and graduated in waste and founded “A TRANSFORMAR. Waste + People + Environment”. The impact is still small but it goes to the bottom of the problem in everything I undertake. Last year, reading Kate's book, I co-founded a multidisciplinary group and became a promoter and activist for Donut Economics in order to achieve greater impact in different areas: school, community, municipality.
