As a freelance author and business economist, I have been working for decades on ideas and practices of cooperative, solidary economic practices. I advise self-managed housing projects and collective enterprises in questions of organization and financing, whereby the basis is always social interaction, the culture of cooperation. I also write, give lectures and contribute my knowledge and experience into local to global networking contexts. With the economization of the world in which people count less and less I will never agree. This is why I am very critical of some forms of social business, if they serve more greenwashing or top-down philanthrocapitalism than emancipatory self-empowerment. From the sustainability triangle of ecology-economy-social, I would like to delete the economy and replace it with democracy. After a career as an economist and regulator, I switched sectors in 2009 to pursue a long-standing interest in international development. I worked briefly on strategy at Save the Children UK and then became Deputy CEO at VSO. Now a member of the Board established by Oxfam to oversee its Enterprise Development Programme, I combine this with not for profits work based in the UK. I was involved in the governance of Newnham College, Cambridge for a number of years; and am currently Chair of The Barnes Fund, a local grant-making trust that also runs sheltered housing; and a Board member at a large social enterprise, The London Early Years Foundation. I blog occasionally at http://jabble.london I have loved Doughnut Economics ever since coming across it in a blog written before the book was published, and am passionate about averting climate change.

Hello! I am the CMO of both Esoterix Systems and QRoutes. Both are technology companies working in the transport sector. Indeed, I consider myself a relatively old hand in the new field of 'intelligent mobility' having been working in the sector since before most people had even heard of Uber, let alone had the app on a phone. I also have cross-sector experience of engineering, big-ticket retail and non-profits. Transport affects everyone from those who experience social isolation because they don't have access to it, to the person in a sports car stuck in traffic. And many benefits ripple out from making it better. I have played a major role in the launch of several 'living-lab' trial transport services in collaboration with major industry partners, and I am confident in liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
