I run a boutique innovation and digital acceleration consultancy called Thrive Club. We work with leading retail and consumer brands to design and deliver their digital future. I'm also in the process of establishing a new startup that provides a platform for individuals to profit from their online transactions and donate that profit to their chosen 'for good' initiatives. The concept is closely aligned to doughnut economics, recognising that consumerism comes at a price and what is taken out of the system must be put back.

I am a Filipino junior economist and researcher dedicated to advancing economic literacy and diverse economic perspectives in the Philippines. My work across both public and private sectors has allowed me to contribute to significant development projects, including the Philippine Public Opinion Monitor and studies on Filipino youth aspirations, economic policy, and environmental impact. Through these experiences, I have honed my skills in project management, data collection, analysis, and stakeholder coordination. In my 1-year stint as a Research Associate at a private research and polling firm, I led the programming of digital surveys, train field researchers throughout the Philippines, and manage sampling and data quality control to ensure accurate insights. My commitment to promoting economic literacy extends beyond my professional work; I actively volunteer with organizations like Ekonsepto (Rethinking Economics Philippines) and the Young Scholars Initiative, advocating for pluralist and heterodox approaches to economics education. As an aspiring economics teacher, I am particularly interested in opportunities that bridge economics, community development, and education, where I can leverage my research skills to support projects that foster massive, inclusive and practical access to knowledge of basic economic concepts. I look forward to connecting with fellow professionals in economics, policy, and education who are dedicated to making economic concepts accessible and relevant to all.

I am very interested in learning about other economies and ways to create links with oneself, with others and with nature. Building interdependent neighborhoods where people take care of each other.

I am retired having spent 40 years in the electronics industry holding roles as Engineering director and Business manager. I have 4 children and four grandchildren whose future I worry about, as our economic system and disregard for our environment is leading us to a future that is projected to be far inferior to the one I have experienced. I have been actively involved in the climate issue for the last 7/8 years presenting talks and workshops and I am co-founder of the climate resilience centre Worthing.

Isabel Davies
London, Greater London, England, United Kingdom
My name is Isabel, I am 23 years old and I grew up in London, UK. I graduated from Leeds University with a first class degree in BA Geography and Economics (International). My core interest lies in Urban Geography, particularly the fields of Urban Futures, Urban Design and Urban Social Movements, and how those from marginalised identities might better assert their right to (remake) the city in their own vision. I think DEAL is a great framework for mobilising people in different contexts by taking a local focus but at a global scale. I want to get involved in different DEAL initiatives across the world to gain a better perspective on how these tools are used to mobilise communities and encourage multi-stakeholder collaboration. We have a lot to learn from each other and I'm really excited to join the DEAL community :)
