I'm a Community artist and researcher. I specialise in #intergenerational arts practice, and work across art forms, growing out of my theatre background. For the last 3 years I have been working on the theme of repair, looking at how we repair our stuff , ourselves and our communities #BreaksAndJoins and we always have the conversation that starts - 'not everything can be mended'. This has got me really interested in the importance of finding new systems - #repair is not always the right way forward. I am always wanting to link the micro and the macro - find this work so helpful in thinking through this. http://www.suemayo.co.uk

I have recently set up a sustainability and B Corp consultancy with the aim to guide and support businesses wanting to be more sustainable - either through the implementation of an ESG strategy, or through B Corp certification (and more). I also have a son who wants to take A level Economics and I am keen to change the curriculum!

Now retired, I spend my time trying to contribute to initiatives to re-make business and leave the world a better place. I have a fifty plus year career - about half in "corporate" rising to CFO and then President of a distribution business. I then spent the last half running my own consulting and professional development company. While I have a financial / accounting background my passion is people and the whole concept of organizational culture. I am involved in several volunteer capacities in lobby / influence groups. I have written a number of books on both culture and other topics. I am a father and grandfather. I was born and grew up (in terms of age) in the UK but am now a Canadian having been here almost fifty years.

I am the founder of Circular Business Visions, a business consultancy which supports SME’s in making a transition to #net zero and #circular economy. With free initial consultations, CBV finds out the goals of the company or organisation, makes an initial assessment of the business and produces ideas and sustainable solutions. Expertise includes #research, and sourcing and writing #grant applications, #project managing, scientific report writing, and finding innovative solutions for your business to become more circular and sustainable moving forward. With many contacts across sectors, expertise also includes collaboration and finding new products made from #waste or surplus. Clients have included Kelp Crofting Ltd, who are a sustainable managed, seaweed farming business on the Isle of Skye, aiming to support sustainable horticulture by developing a naturally produced, organic biostimulant from their seaweed. Work included identifying the biological actives of Alaria esculenta, identifying suitable laboratories for analysis of their products, sign-posting to a number of funding opportunities for further product development and R&D, and producing a 25 page scientific report. Current consultancy includes writing a DEFRA Farming Transformation Adding Value grant application for a farmer, and project managing the building of a net zero farm building with sustainable architechs. Future work includes supporting a new company with the legislation required to set up a business to #sustainably deal with Category 1 waste coming out of Heathrow. Previous roles include NIAB where I was Industry Liaison for the Eastern Agri-Tech Innovation Hub (www.innovationhubuk.co.uk) primarily concerned with promoting a circular economy, sustainable values in horticulture, and finding solutions for reducing food surplus and waste, particularly valorisation. My work was customer focused; sourcing and supporting small businesses with sustainability and circular economic practices. It included project management of two EU projects, DEFRA and WRAP contracts and focuses on business sustainability, throughout whole supply chains including an understanding of the science, politics and economics of what is happening and what change is needed. My role involved developing income opportunities, increasing sustainable business growth in the region and strategic partnerships between SME’s, industry, government, NGO’s and research, requiring knowledge of horticultural/agricultural natural resource management and corporate social/environmental responsibility. I have co-written successful proposals to EU Interreg 2 Seas Hy4Dense, FoodWasteNet, DEFRA, BBSRC and WRAP Value from Food Waste. Project management has included the above and EU Interreg BioBoost which has required my governance and familiarity with EU Interreg, IUK, WRAP compliance and reporting procedures over the last 5 years. I was also responsible for procuring and coordinating EU project audits with our FLC, writing and delivering project reports, yearly budgets and financial reporting, and sub-projects with SME partners such as green pesticides. I have written a large inventory, Inventory for the Strategy, and Strategy document (published on www.bioboosteurope.com ) about the horticultural industry for our 3 regions, which included agricultural production and land use and focused on food surplus and waste. I am a volunteer with Circular Brighton and Hove, and have supported the University of Sussex with with a Circular Economy Project by interviewing B&H, and Sussex businesses and stakeholders about their experiences around circular economy. The project aims to support further businesses in the B&H Sussex. I am also a Director of the B&H Community Land Trust where I am helping with fundraising and membership. I have recently joined CamDEAG and am involved with the City Portrait. I'm a member of the Chesterton Allotment Society, support the community group and grow organically. Over the years I've been involved with local schools supporting with gardening, reading, swimming and helped the Grove School achieve an International School Award Certificate.

I am an applied scientist, based at Stockholm Resilience Centre where I work with sustainability issues. I am on a mission to bring science closer to everyday life. Think of me as a bridge scientist. I was gifted with a highly logical brain which works excellently as a bullshit-meter and pattern-spotter. I learn, mash up and connect insights from physics, philosophy, psychology, neuroscience, sustainability, food, nutrition, microbiome and health for the sake of finding the ways to improve our wellbeing and our prospects on this beautiful and precious planet. No matter whether it is hiking in the Scottish highlands or cooking food from scratch, studying physics, conducting quantum experiments or watching David Attenborough documentaries, all of these leave me even more curious about and grateful for nature. I run, meditate and cook a lot. I believe that with food we can do a lot of good. My latest project is trail running and saving the house plants from wilting.

I’m an organizer, bridge-builder, and learner. As community organizer, I work with women in rural communities where issues of land tenure, scarcity of resources, and climate impacts are their everyday realities. I organize spaces to ensure their voices are at the center of defining solutions and development agendas impacting their life and future. As bridge-builder I connect cross-movement and intergenerational spaces to bolster solidarity, movement-organizing, intersectional analysis, and generate joint actions and agendas. As learner, I continue to engage in spaces to carry out discourses and reflections around regenerative economies bringing with me intersectional and feminist analysis.

I'm a strategic communications and partnership building consultant based in France. I worked 20+ years for large ICT corporates spinning the Internet transformation pitch. During a Covid lockdown, I completed CISL's sustainable business course and since then am #teaching, advising start-ups, volunteering and supporting multi-stakeholder activities on climate action. I've developed content for #COPs, am a #Fresque du Climat #facilitator and a #multi-sector #partnership broker with the Partnership Brokers Association. I'm interested in tools and means that close the value-action gap and would like to use The Doughnut in my work.

Hi! I'm a coach in interpersonal communication and leadership, a design thinking facilitator for sustainable innovations and a TEDx speaker. I have helped a diversity of clients to impulse ecological change within organisations: in the last decades, I have facilitated boot camps with intrapreneurs, collaborative management with NGOs, co-creation sessions with French government agencies and taught entrepreneurship at business schools. When I discovered Doughnut Design for Business, I was amazed at how it was designed to spread and how efficient it could be to sow seeds of hope and possibilities worldwide.

Bel of mail me dan gerust eens! Ik ben benieuwd naar jouw ambities en droom!
