I am a retired IT/Business Consultant (BA, MBA, MIMC, CMC). I studied History & Politics at Lancaster and Business at Leeds. I started in engineering, moved to retail and then consulting. I have worked for large and small companies. I have lived in Leeds since 1984. I would like to link up with people in leeds for ideas sharing, discussions and support. I am interested the paradigm shift that is needed to transform society. In my writing I describe this change to political economy as follows; politics from winner take all to a collective quest for good governance, and economically from profit maximisation the creation of the common wealth. In ecological terms that would equate to a move from parasitism to something more sustainable (so at least comensual/communal). The idea of personal sufficiency and collective wealth appeals. The question is twofold (1) how to bring about the paradigm shift (or add weight to it as its starting spontaneously) and (2) then what happens - this is likely to be difficult, contested and critical because history especially with regard to revolutions is far from encouraging. PS. I appear as an artist on linked in because I paint as a hobby since my retirement

I am a fundamental scientist at heart, driven by curiosity and passion for discovering how nature works. I believe work and activism are tools to self-empowerment, and I dedicate both to the topic of sustainability. By day, I work at the EU science for policy initiative, in the directorate of "sustainable resources". I stay eager to learn about policymaking, economy and sustainability to apply in my projects. By night, I am Fridays for Future activist.

Hello, I'm Katelyn. I'm learning how to bring Doughnut Economic principles into my work in leadership development and organizational transformation. As an applied researcher, consultant, and coach, I translate theory into practice to help leaders make sense of big challenges and identify solutions that align with their values. Rather than tiptoeing around the economic constraints that limit leaders' ability to imagine the impact they could have, I'm leaning in to the ways Doughnut Economics can help leaders embrace their own big ideas for business transformation. I would love to connect with anyone pursuing similar goals. When we learn from each other, we create the world we want to see.

I’m Ömer, a political science researcher and documentary practitioner interested in democratic governance, environmental justice, and the ways communities shape policy from the ground up. I founded Nexus Point Doc, where I develop research-driven documentary projects. My most recent work — supported by the National Geographic Society and The Nature Conservancy — examines environmental inequality through a feminist political economy lens. Academically, my work focuses on public administration, civic innovation, and the social implications of emerging technologies. As a Bevisioneer Fellow, I explore future-oriented approaches to community organizing and participatory governance. I also contribute analyses on politics, culture, and global issues for MEER, Vox Artistica, and Sense Of Cinema. I’m joining the DEAL Community because I value its commitment to distributed, community-led decision making. I’m excited to learn from practitioners, exchange ideas, and contribute through my background in research, storytelling, and collaborative project work.

I hold an MSc in International Economic Consultancy from Aarhus University, where I became deeply interested in how economic systems can be reshaped to support thriving societies and resilient ecosystems. Today, I work as a Sustainability Manager within the real estate investment activities of the Kirk Kristiansen family office, with a focus on embedding responsible real estate investment principles across both development projects and operational assets. My work spans carbon accounting, sustainability guidelines building and real estate operations, biodiversity and nature-positive planning, and the development of strategic frameworks that support long-term value creation. Central to my role is exploring how our portfolio can generate positive systemic impact — contributing to ecological regeneration, community well-being, and healthier urban environments. I joined the DEAL community because Doughnut Economics aligns strongly with the future I believe the real estate sector must move toward. I’m excited to exchange ideas, learn from diverse practitioners, and help bridge the worlds of investment, asset management, and regenerative design.

Chris Banks
Christopher Banks, Anthropologist of Luxury Hello everyone. I'm Christopher Banks, an Anthropologist of Luxury and Critical Theorist. My work operates at the intersection of academic critique, business innovation, and cultural practice. What brings me to the DEAL Community is that my Post-Luxury research is, in effect, a direct, on-the-ground case study of the Doughnut model in practice. My Hybrid Authority framework is a three-pincer attack built to solve the exact problems this community is tackling. 1. The Academic Pincer (The Diagnosis): My research deconstructs the hollow, extractive, Simulacrum (Baudrillard) of the old, growth-obsessed luxury system—a system that has spectacularly failed both the social foundation and the ecological ceiling. 2. The Business Pincer (The New Model): My Business Pincer identifies the market void left by this collapse. It focuses on Systemic Stewardship (as seen in my PàA study). It defines the new, structurally anchored economic models required to fund the Artisan as Activist and to create a truly regenerative phygital economy. This is the Business Pincer that aligns perfectly with the DEAL framework. 3. The "Cultural Pincer" (The "Antidote"): My Cultural Pincer is the tangible Antidote—Post-Luxury Conceptual Functional Art (PLCFA). This is my structurally-anchored framework for Post-Growth objects whose value is based on Intangible Provenance and Critical Craftsmanship, not "sign-value. I am here to connect with fellow thinkers who are also building this new, structurally-anchored economy. My research is an on-the-ground proof that Post-Growth models are not just theoretical but are the only viable future for cultural and commercial practice. I look forward to sharing my findings and collaborating on the tangible, regenerative "Antidotes" this community is designing.

I am a certified teacher of philosophy and ethics, who never worked in a school because couldn’t fit into the system. Since 2018 I manage Nausika Educational Foundation in Kraków (Poland) and spend my life designing game-based educational programs and teaching others how to implement games for a positive social impact. I believe that truly innovative game mechanics can reshape the thinking about the world. My values and fields of action include sustainability competences (Green Comp framework), social and planetary justice (Doughnut Economics models) and role-playing techniques to empower personal development and understand cultural heritage. I have acted as trainer and facilitator at over 40 Erasmus+ Training Courses and Youth Exchanges, applied for and coordinated over 12 international EU projects, designed and mentored the creation and publication of over 24 educational games.

Nicole Parker-Beggs
Frisco, Texas, United States
Nicole partners with leaders who refuse to optimize broken systems and instead focus their energy on building something entirely new. If you see the world as interconnected and interdependent, value collaboration over competition, and believe regeneration beats extraction every time, let's connect. As a talent optimization consultant and executive coach, Nicole brings Doughnut Economics principles into the daily work of leadership development and organizational transformation. She helps leaders find their center amidst complexity, root decisions in collective wellbeing rather than fear, and create team cultures that honor both people and planet. Her approach challenges patriarchal, ego-driven leadership models in favor of something more life-giving: leaders who guide from the center, not command from the top. Nicole is here to learn alongside fellow practitioners turning theory into practice – one team, one organization, one courageous decision at a time. Because a better world for all isn't just possible, it's already being built by leaders like us.
