In June 2020, the City of Copenhagen voted with a large majority to draw up a plan for the city to adopt the Doughnut as an economic model. Fanny Broholm, a member of the city council, explains how she and others built the strong cross-party coalition that led to such strong support for the initiative.

Hello, my name is Morgane. I am a passionate advocate for the circular economy and dedicated to creating sustainable solutions for our planet. Currently, I serve as a project leader for Circul'R, a French startup that specializes in guiding corporations toward adopting a circular economic model. In this role, I work closely with companies to help them transition their economic practices towards more sustainable and environmentally friendly approaches. My interest in environmental issues was sparked during my exchange program in Japan, where I witnessed firsthand the challenges associated with waste management and the overproduction of plastic. This eye-opening experience inspired me to pursue a master's degree in environmental policy, with a specific focus on waste management and sustainability. Throughout my studies, I delved into various aspects of waste management and learned about innovative strategies to tackle environmental challenges.
