What is LDEC?
The London Doughnut Economy Coalition is a group of volunteers who, inspired by Doughnut Economics, have come together to communicate a better vision for London’s economy, one that is inherently fair, green and also exciting! We argue that as one of the most influential and important cities in the world, London needs to be a leader in adopting better, fairer, and regenerative approaches to its economy.
We are always looking for like minded people and groups to get involved. If you are interested in joining then please get in contact via email or social media, it would be great to have you on board.
What are we working on?
We have 3 main pillars of focus, and will be building activity over the next few years to support each one. We also have a few live projects including:
- London Neighbourhood Doughnut - In Brixton, Old Kent Road and Somers Town
- Harnessing London's Finance
- Social & Ecological High Streets
- London Business x DE

My foremost passion is organising people for power, reviving grassroots democracy. I firmly believe this issue is at the heart of most challenges facing society today. I’m a former Mechanical Engineer with Project Management experience. I’ve worked with national and local campaigns on issues of global and social justice on a variety of issues. My recent focus has been community organising on social housing estates in South London and now co-ordinating communities and campaigns in developing genuinely affordable community-led housing throughout the city.

Hi! I'm a business and economics student at Lancaster University. Recently started a project with a friend of mine, Ph.D. student in macroeconomics, called Net Gain, where we explain the implications of new tech in the labour force in a newsletter format. I also work as an asset analyst for the university fund, where the assumption of indefinite growth plays a pivotal role in my analyses. It's challenging to consider investments in stocks that aren't expected to sustain perpetual growth. Hence, my aim here is to connect with like-minded individuals and collectively explore actionable solutions.
