I'm an interior architect working throughout Europe.  A recent  MA in environmental humanities, currently studying regenerative economics in my belief is that holistic  - doughnut  type - elements and policy must be in symbiosis for healthy home and business planning and decisions.

I am a Product Designer, innovator and UX Designer. I work on mainframe software as a UX design lead and am an evangelist for Enterprise Design Thinking to deliver radical design changes that matter and which can be delivered. It works for large enterprises and I want to see if it could be a way to start to demonstrate, by degree, that we can deliver on Kate's vision!   (the 'enterprise' element is, I believe the difference required for such a globally important task) I design and #upcycle, I create IoT devices and I am a proponent of #OpenSource software and open protocols. I like to thrive! I play the clarinet & alto sax (but not well) and am in a wind band - wish I was good enough to play jazz, but I'm not! Scuba, kayaking, skiing & climbing. Parent to teenagers. I'm afraid I avoid most proprietary social media (Fcbk, X, LkdIn, Insta) but am on Mastodon

The next step was to buy Kate Raworth's book and learn more. It's an exciting economic concept.

In my career I have worked with the introduction of computers in research libraries, where I was Director of the Bibliographic Institute at the Royal Library in Stockholm. At that time I was also deputy project manager for the LIBRIS-project at the Swedish Agency for Administrative Development (SAFAD). I then moved to the Swedish Institute for Standards (SIS) where I had different positions and where I participated in international standardization within ISO of quality and environmental management. Thereafter I facilitated ISO-workshops for developing countries during the development of the ISO 26000 Guidelines on social responsibility and I am now following the transition of companies to a sustainable business sector in accordance with the principles for Environmental Social and Corporate Governance (ESG)- principles.

I teach innovation, sustainability, and circular economy at several French, Swiss, and Indian business and engineering schools, and my research (PhD, Université Grenoble Alpes) explored open source hardware as a vehicle for more ethical and collaborative innovation. I bring both rigorous frameworks and creative, embodied practices to my work. What draws me to the Doughnut Economics community is the rare combination of intellectual seriousness and genuine imagination — the conviction that we can redesign economies to thrive within planetary boundaries and that doing so can be joyful, beautiful, and deeply human. I am equally at home facilitating systemic design workshops, co-creating serious games, or hand-sewing a 10kg recycled denim artwork that asks: what kind of future are we dreaming into being? My focus has been on empowering learners with entrepreneurial mindsets to address complex social, environmental and economic challenges.   Together with my colleague, Olivia Freeman, we have been experimenting with different embodied approaches to introducing doughnut economics to students, colleagues and communities. Our favourite is 'step into the doughnut' which we have delivered to almost 40 groups so far!

My name is Isabel, I am 23 years old and I grew up in London, UK. I graduated from Leeds University with a first class degree in BA Geography and Economics (International). My core interest lies in Urban Geography, particularly the fields of Urban Futures, Urban Design and Urban Social Movements, and how those from marginalised identities might better assert their right to (remake) the city in their own vision.  I think DEAL is a great framework for mobilising people in different contexts by taking a local focus but at a global scale. I want to get involved in different DEAL initiatives across the world to gain a better perspective on how these tools are used to mobilise communities and encourage multi-stakeholder collaboration. We have a lot to learn from each other and I'm really excited to join the DEAL community :)
