All the diagrams in this tool have all been created using the online vector graphics design application, Corel Vector, and these design templates: the Doughnut, the Overshoot Doughnut and the Embedded Economy diagram.
If the diagrams have not already been translated into a language that you speak, you can use these templates to create your own using the instructions provided below. If you are interested in translating additional content please see our FAQ for more details.
Using the Corel Vector templates
Corel Vector is an online vector graphics design application. To edit the provided templates, we recommend that you are already familiar with the basic functionality of vector graphics applications, including the concepts of graphics layers, etc.
When using the templates (the Doughnut, the Overshoot Doughnut and the Embedded Economy diagram), please follow these steps:
- In order to use the templates you will first need to create a (free) account
- Before starting, save a copy of the template to the cloud via 'File > Save to Cloud as...'
- If you are translating into a language that contains characters which the default font does not support (e.g. Chinese characters), you will need to change the font of all text fields to use one of the 'Noto Sans' font variants (e.g. 'Noto Sans CJK TC' for Traditional Chinese)
- When editing curved text, please note that each one is attached to its own circle (which has the same name in the layers panel), however there is a bug in the software which means that the text sometimes appears in the wrong place. To rectify this, simply select the relevant circle and rotate it backwards and forwards until the text reappears in the correct place.
- To share your translation with DEAL (so we can add it to this tool), please select 'File > Share file', choose the 'Developer' share option, copy the link (it should something like https://app.corelvector.com/?token=xxxx) and send it to us via the DEAL Contact Form. Thank you!

Developing communities of practice and inquiry to link businesses and organisations interested in tackling the climate emergency through sustainable work practices. We envisage a hub bringing together like minded people and organisations, to act as a living lab, build and share good practice through projects and flourishing communities. Using our individual and collective agency to embed sustainable business models, circular design and supply chains and responsible management practices in an actionable, kind and ethical manner. Our projects link students, scholars and practitioners to build, test and embed MVPs (minimum viable products) that enable SMEs (Small to Medium Sized enterprises) to cut waste, design, build and deliver circular products and services. The ultimate aim of the hub, is to test approaches that can be replicated across the UK and Globally to help us to meet our UN Sustainable Development Goal commitments.

I describe myself as a continuous learner who has a passion for designing strategies to solve complex problems businesswise. However, I cannot stick only to the business side of things as our present has demonstrated that life and business are not as apart as I thought a few years ago. They are completely linked, and one relies on the other on a process that is constantly trying to find a clever (not always wise) way to help us, humans, perdure. For me, DEAL is HOPE, and it's giving us, humans, a new chance to make things right (and wise).

I am Spanish, I have a degree in Geography, a Masters in Strategic Territorial Development and have been living betwenn Spain in Portugal, in the frontier since October 2019. Professionally, I have 20 years of experience, always as a freelancer, working in different areas related to the territory: planning, participation, dynamization... For the last 15 years I have been working as a facilitator in territorial innovation and socio-ecological entrepreneurship, both as a facilitator of processes, as a trainer and mentor of social innovation projects or as a writer of several strategic territorial planning projects based on social innovation, both at regional and national level in Spain and internationally. As an independent researcher, I have developed several projects in which the Doughnut Economics model is always one of the strategic components. + info I am currently coordinating the BoraBeirã project in which the "LojaPlaneta" initiative is integrated. How can businesses thrive while respecting people and planetary boundaries? Engineer by education, I started my career as a management consultant, helping companies with their growth strategies. About 10 years ago, I decided to focus on sustainable innovation, supporting companies in developing greener, circular solutions. However, I have come to realize that, to address the social and environmental crises we face, we need to go beyond incremental innovation and fix our economic and business systems. Today, I am exploring how businesses can rethink their purpose, legacy, goals, structure, and strategies to help drive the change we need. I am inspired by, amongst other, Doughnut Economics, Post-growth Economics, Purpose Economics, Sufficiency economics, Steward-ownership, Net-positive businesses.... And, I am happy to connect with anyone on these topics.
