Personal Doughnut Template
A template to develop a personal doughnut

Who is it for?
This tool is to help individuals make a personal version of the doughnut. The aim is to provide guidance on lowering our impact on the earth whilst increasing social purpose and positive ways of being, helping the individual and household to thrive. There is no right or wrong way to do this, just the act of thinking about it is incredibly productive. Working with peers provides a supportive and encouraging environment to consider what action to undertake.

We are at an important time in history. Now more than ever, as we approach a tipping point of a climate catastrophe, the decisions we make - as individuals and as businesses - have an impact on our planet and those who inhabit it. I relentlessly pursue a belief and vision that this can and will be reversed. To get to Net Zero we need creativity. Brands must be hyper-connected and deliver stories that are more thoughtful and constructive. Conversations about climate change and environmental wellbeing are often unnecessarily polarised and clouded by conflicting information and confusing stories. By understanding and empathising with our audiences, we can create campaigns and content that have a better chance of motivating positive behaviour change. My role as a creative strategist is to consistently communicate the purpose of an organisation to its stakeholders with a dance between strategy, brand, design and marketing. From ideation to delivery to tracking and analysis, I remodel brands to leverage skills and resources for the protection of our planet and its people.

My 20y+ international career is quite diverse (science, space, infrastructure,...). I am currently working as a sustainability freelance consultant in Portugal and I have spent the last 10y working on social impact and sustainability in infrastructure in the UK. I have realised that to really remove barriers to training and decent work you have to change the system, that seems rigged against those who should be serving. I have been looking for ideas and people that can help me change the system and learnt about regeneration - healing our planet and people and Doughnut Economics. And that brings me to the DEAL Community. Get in touch if you have an idea or project we can work together.
