Living In The Doughnut: Thriving Forests, Thriving Cities (Past)

We're incredibly excited to announce a pioneering Trainer of Trainers (ToT) workshop for the 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁! On September 13th, '25, we're diving deep into Doughnut Economics, not just as a framework, but as a powerful tool for "𝘈𝘯𝘵𝘪-𝘉𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘧 𝘈𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘮."

Inspired by the concept of challenging the "𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘤𝘰𝘥𝘦𝘴" that drive our current "𝘪𝘯𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘤 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺," these young leaders will learn to:

  • 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗼𝘀𝗲 "𝗗𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗲𝘀": Uncover the invisible rules (like "Land as a Commodity") that currently threaten Ngong Forest (e.g., through railway lines, stadium allocations, uncontrolled dumping).
  • "𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗱𝗲" 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲: Transform seemingly worthless "waste" into valuable resources, fostering "life-ennobling design" and green economies.
  • 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗧𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀: Identify critical moments of change in Ngong's ecosystem and community, and develop "𝘈𝘯𝘵𝘪-𝘉𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘧 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴" to steer towards powerful, positive transformations.
  • 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁 "𝗘𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘀": Find integrated solutions where social needs meet ecological health, creating ripple effects for a truly regenerative Ngong.

This isn't just theory; it's about empowering Ngong's youth to become 𝘈𝘯𝘵𝘪-𝘉𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘧 𝘚𝘵𝘦𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴 – leading the charge to "𝘳𝘦𝘸𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘧" for their forest and community. They'll gain practical facilitation skills to inspire others, preparing for impactful engagement during Global Doughnut Day!
