Ilektra Kouloumpi

I am a sustainability engineering and post-growth economics senior expert with over 15 years of experience driving systemic change across the globe. Recently returned to my native Greece, I run my own consulting studio while serving as the Sectors Lead for the Doughnut Economics Action Lab (DEAL) . My work spans large-scale sustainability projects in Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia, collaborating with the European Commission, the United Nations, Ministries of Environment, and over 100 cities globally.
I am particularly proud for my contributions to the Amsterdam City Doughnut project and the city's circular economy strategy, initiatives that have gathered media attention from outlets like the BBC, Time Magazine, and The Guardian. I love giving key note speeches, facilitating workshops, and designing participatory decision making processes. I often teach at educational institutions around the world, and I am currently partnering with Schumacher College to develop a new school for the next generation of leaders.
