In life, there are two types of changes : (according to the paper of Paul WATZLAWICK, John WEAKLAND and Richard Fisch : open edition journals, vol.34/1/2016 : https://journals.openedition.org/communication/7002 ) 1) inside a system, without a change of the system 2) a change that modifies the system itself The Doughnut is a type 2 change, as it offers a new design for a thriving economy taking into account the planetary boundaries and the social basis. I love the way Kate Raworth talked in the TED talk about boundaries and the design going with it. Ronaldo, Pelè, Lionel Messi thrive(d) on a rectangular limited football field. Michael Phelps in a rectangular swimming pool, Larissa Semionovna Latynina on parallel bars,...

I am interested in relieving suffering and have been involved in various internal practices to this end. My original training was in social and political theory and literature. I have worked in private practice for 35 years as a developmental psychotherapist having trained in humanistic, psychodynamic, body-based ways of exploring challenges in life and relationships. I have been practicing yoga and meditation (in the Vipassana tradition) since my early twenties, having also spent some years practicing Zen and Aikido. I see contemplation as a pragmatic way of inviting humans into recognizing oue own basic goodness - in terms of clarity, courage and wisdom – and how to bring this goodness into the world. My latest forays into learning has been in Internal Family Systems, AEDP, trauma sensitive yoga teacher training and Clean Language. She is founding director of Openground Charity – an Australia-wide network of clinicians and teachers offering mindfulness programs, workshops and retreats, and of the Mindfulness Training Institute – Australia and New Zealand – a not-for-profit which offers teacher training and Vipassana retreats. BA, Dip Psych (ANZAP) Workplace Trainer, Cert V, MBSR Cert. (UMass) TSY Yoga teacher (YA500H)

I am a transformational coach, author and speaker. I’m dedicated to empowering ambitious women and organisations who are making the world a better place. I am here because I am interested in how we can create wealth sustainably in a manner that is equitable and just. I would like to be in community with people who are curious about and taking action on economics that are just. I am fascinated by the way economics contributes to systems of oppression and the way this causes harm to women and how this harm is amplified for women of the global majority. I want to expand my work so I can do more to contribute to creating a more equitable society for women especially women of the global majority (and children) as it is my belief that this will support systemic change.

If we are to achieve our goal of greater respect for our environment and the people who make up our society, we need to take action at every level. This is the reason why I decided to help companies, local authorities and organisations commit to a CSR and transition approach. Today, I offer CSR modules, seminar days and tailor-made support to get all teams involved in a comprehensive, integrated approach. After listening to Kate Raworth at a Conference, I felt that the doughnut had to be shared with as many structures as possible.
