I am passionate about educating others and acting on climate change solutions. Economics and finance are key drivers of climate change and I am excited to learn about, and work with others, who want to build a thriving human community who lives within planetary boundaries and is inclusive to all.

I'm a traffic planner and active in different environmental associations. I believe traffic planning is an important piece of a sustainable economy because so many assumptions about the economy reflects themselves in traffic planning. How can we bring a just and equitable transport system where everyone gets the accessibility they need to meet their needs but also without disrupting the planetary boundaries.

I am founder of Jargon Buster, Financial and Business Development Advisor, Mentor, Certified Adult Trainer and I am actively engaged with financial literacy that contributes to financial well-being and work-life balance. I support small and medium business owners to become familiar with financial & operational management (financial planning, budgeting, business planning, costing) so as to get more confidence in financial and business procedures, and create the space to focus on business development. I cooperate with organizations and firms by trainings on financial literacy for work-life balance and personal finance management. I love supporting entrepreneurship that leads to personal and professional growth, driven by sustainability and a positive impact on the people, the society, and the environment in which it is developed.

I love selling sustainable ideas in life. I use plastic bags and recycable stuff embracing the belief humans are just visitors on earth. There is a saying in Buddhism “菩萨畏因,众生畏果”. The meaning of this statement is: mortals are more concerned with the result, while Bodhisattvas are more concerned with the cause. These two different kinds of thinking will naturally lead to two different kinds of behavior: mortals will go to any lengths for the sake of results, while Bodhisattvas are only concerned with the reasonableness of their actions and care less about the results (which, of course, are usually good). Thus, each of human being should act after considerate thinking (causes), not only persuing short-term benefits (results).

I am a driven individual with a strong foundation in Economics, eager to apply academic knowledge into real world challenges. As a student pursuing a Master's degree in Economics, I am driven by a profound interest in both economic policy and research. This fascination stems from a firm conviction: well-crafted policies have the power to significantly impact the economic well-being of nations, regions, and even the environment itself. I am particularly drawn to the field of policy analysis, where the bridge is built between theoretical economic concepts and their practical applications. I love to solve problems in a creative way. I look forward to opportunities that include Public Speaking and Interaction. I have an eye for solving challenging problems and can lead a team optimistically.

Hello everyone, I'm thrilled to be a part of the DEAL Community! My name is Retaj Kherrazi, and I hail from the Netherlands. Since 2022, I've been passionately dedicated to climate action, both domestically and on the international stage. My mission is to drive tangible change that accelerates the transition towards a more sustainable and inclusive society. In pursuit of this mission, I founded Justpalmit.com, a platform aimed at fostering awareness and action on environmental issues. Additionally, I'm actively involved as a Kinderreporter with Amstelkids, where I engage with young minds to inspire environmental consciousness from an early age. Moreover, serving in the Kinderraad of the Gemeente Amstelveen allows me to advocate for sustainable policies at the local level, ensuring that our communities are actively involved in shaping a greener future. I'm particularly interested in topics related to renewable energy, sustainable development, youth empowerment, and environmental education. I believe that by working together and leveraging our collective knowledge and resources, we can create meaningful change and pave the way for a brighter, more sustainable future for generations to come. I'm excited to connect with fellow members of the DEAL Community, share ideas, and collaborate on initiatives that drive positive impact. Together, let's make a difference! #ClimateAction #RenewableEnergy #Sustainability #YouthEmpowerment #EnvironmentalEducation

I have been advising business owners on how to start, build and grow their business for more than 20 years. I also gave them advice on how to sell their business. Upon stumbling on the Doughnut economics book in 2023, I have realized that most of the theory on which our economy is built is flawed. And I have started to question the purpose of growing businesses. I am now trying to reconcile how I can help people achieve their potential and preserve our planet, while building beneficial companies (regenerative and distributive ones). I am also interested in discovering how we can ensure that people find other ways to fulfill the need to feel good inside themselves with more community and less consumption.

Stuart Brown
Trowbridge, Wiltshire, England, United Kingdom
Retired international development consultant with experience of 44 countries. I specialised in policy implementation planning, for which an awareness of resource constraints and preconditions for sustainability was (a) essential and (b) unpopular with my beneficiaries. (One minister in a certain country had me dismissed from my post for daring to suggest that he lacked the resources to implement his national environmental strategy.) In particular I addressed water and environemntal management policies and implementation strategies, also related trade aspects of two of the EU's free trade agreements (Moldova and Vietnam). Most of today's capitalist thinking is predicated - knowingly or not, makes no difference - on the false assumption that financial and other resources are unlimited. I am a passionate advocate of joined-up thinking and coherent policy. In my retirement I am a full-time composer and a trustee of two charities.
