Hi! I am a human. I like being this. I am very fortunate to have had, and continue to have, the opportunity of self-discovery, and of service to those less fortunate. I see a lot of unnecessary suffering in the world, and ways that we can change to alleviate this extraneous suffering and to allow everyone to thrive. I recognize that the flow can be a more powerful tool of change than the fight. Professionally I have been involved with environmental permitting and renewable energy development within the public and private sectors for 25 years. My personal research, growth, and gravity have led me to study sustainability, economic systems change, and to be an activist promoting corporate boycotts, but also integration of circular economy ideologies in local communities. I am here to understand and converse about Doughnut Economies as much as possible, and to become involved personally and professionally in any way I can. I live in Sao Paulo, Brazil and Hickory, NC, USA.

I am an expert in sustainability and have a PhD in Education for Sustainability. I have 15 years of experience working with businesses and organisations, helping them understand what a low carbon economy, a resilient community, localising food systems or zero waste means for them. Importantly, I can assist in turning these concepts into action at any level through facilitation and strategic planning. My expertise in material recovery means that I can analyse and advise businesses and manufacturers on how to reduce or eliminate waste to landfill. I have worked with a number of large food processors, and am assisting District and City Council to develop strategic action plans for waste management. I have completed numerous waste audits and given advice to councils to reduce waste to landfill. I project manages urban recycling / resilience projects, and I conducts baseline foodshed and food system analysis for districts or regions to look at how food flows into or out of their community.

Keen on adopting doughnut economics as part of an early advisory startup focusing on small to medium enterprises’ digitalization journeys. The coexistence of technology and sustainability should not be determined by previous economic models of growth and compliance. And it seems that this confluence warrants a new way of thinking about sustainable digitalization journeys.

Hello, I am from India. I read ‘Small is Beautiful’ by EF Schumacher in 1996. Deeply influenced by it, I was searching for a meaningful professional career. In 1997, I found that and joined an organisation, which was far ahead of its time, a sort of social engineering experiment. A listed company, with the ratio of highest wage to the lowest wage at 1:5 !! It rebelled against the stock market, made huge social impact (20,000 construction workers with fixed wages and medical benefits - something unheard then and now in India). And a cult brand in the housing industry (which was then not an organised market). Moderate salaries, simple life styles. The company started in 1978, while I discovered them in 1997. But it all came crashing down by 2003, and I was left penniless (at age of 35). Since 2004, I was back at a regular corporate job, and rebuilt my life. But at personal level continued my life and lifestyle in line with my values. An attempt to make a sense of world is my constant state of being, and that dictates what I read. I read Doughnut Economics and finished it in two days - the last two days. I am keen to understand where will this take us and be part of it.

Independent advisor, creator and consultant with a focus on AI. I founded AI for the rest of us with the goal of helping people improve their AI fluency. If we can't understand each other when we talk about AI, we can't make good decisions about this technology! I'm here to share what I learn about sustainable, responsible AI. In particular I'd like to talk about the impact of job losses driven by AI adoption, and how we can help individuals and business plan for this. I would like to help non-technical people understand the options of greener, more sustainable AI solutions.

Hello, My name is Suntheary (Sun), and I'm excited to join this community of changemakers from Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Born in Thailand as a refugee and raised in France, I've spent the last 20 years living and working across Asia. As a mother of two, I understand the importance of creating a sustainable future for the next generation. My professional journey is guided by three interconnected pillars: Marketing, Sustainability, and Food–with sustainability at the heart of everything I do, perfectly aligning with DEAL's mission of transforming Doughnut Economics into action. With a background in International Business and Marketing, I've led food distribution and brand development in China, collaborating with chefs and international food brands. In Cambodia, I've witnessed the country's remarkable growth while serving as an intercultural consultant. I'm now pivoting toward my new role as Food Sustainability Consultant & Marketing Strategist, actively seeking impact-driven opportunities in the food and agri-food industry. I've completed courses in Design Thinking for Sustainability and CSR Strategy, and I'm currently pursuing executive training on Sustainable Food and Sustainable Marketing at Cambridge CISL. My multicultural background and Asian market expertise position me to bridge cultures and drive meaningful change in food systems transformation. Having experienced diverse food systems, I'm passionate about creating solutions that meet humanity's needs within planetary boundaries—truly embodying Doughnut Economics principles. I'm excited to facilitate Doughnut Economics workshops, exchange innovative ideas, and connect with conscious professionals and citizens as we work together toward a more regenerative and equitable future. I look forward to collaborating with businesses—connecting with owners, directors, and employees who share our vision of creating thriving economies that respect both people and planetary boundaries—as well as with civil society communities, including students, school children, and conscious consumers. #FoodSystemsTransformation #SustainableMarketing #DoughnutEconomics #AsianMarkets #RegenerativeEconomy

I work at the Olof Palme International Center, the Swedish labour movement's international solidarity organisation. My main focus is a Just Transition and workers' rights, and I see doughnut economy as a powerful way to steer towards these goals. I'm very interested in hearing about and creating more opportunities for trade unions and the wider labour movement to discuss how to align their struggle for a better life for workers with what the planetary crisis demands of us. How do we distribute resources so that everyone can achieve wellbeing and human rights - live within the donut? relief etc.

Hello, I’m Jane, a financial markets educator and full-time trader with nearly a decade of experience in forex, crypto, and equity markets. My journey has been driven by a passion for demystifying complex financial concepts and empowering individuals to navigate the trading world confidently. Throughout my career, I've emphasized the importance of understanding the regulatory environments of trading platforms. For instance, while Exness is a globally recognized broker, its regulatory status in India is nuanced. For those interested in this topic, here's a detailed overview of Exness regulations in India.

The future is not something that just happens - it is something we create. With the vision of a fossil-free economy that thrives within planetary and social boundaries, I invest my energy not only in the pragmatic empowerment of organisations, but also in that of my fellow human beings. Because I am deeply convinced that we need new narratives and must take everyone with us on the path to a safer and fairer future. What drives me? An insatiable interest in scientifically sound facts and future-oriented topics. I am passionate about absorbing new knowledge and constantly expanding my horizons - and sharing this knowledge with others. My motto: empowering people to be lifelong learners. Because learning should never stop! I look forward to inspiring discussions and setting off together towards a better future! Let's connect!
