Dr. Kim Chang-gil received his Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics with a specialization in Environmental Economics from the Oklahoma State University. Dr. Kim was a researcher at the Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI) for 28 years, where he conducted research related to sustainable and environmentally friendly agriculture, climate change, rural policy, and green growth. In 2016, he was elected as the President of KREI, a role in which he served until his retirement in 2019.  Dr. Kim has previously served as an executive member of the Prime Minister's Office's Government Evaluation Committee, the Presidential Committee on Sustainable Development, the Committee of Agricultural Policy Reforms, and the Committee of Mid-term Fiscal Policy of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance. He has also been active in his field beyond research and policy, serving as a as Co-representative of the ICT Convergence Korea Forum and the President of the Korea Agricultural Economics Association.     Dr. Kim has participated internationally as a representative of the Republic of Korea to the OECD Policy Committee on Agricultural and Environment from 2001 to 2013, later serving as Vice-chair of the committee from 2007 to 2013, and as Chair from 2014 to 2017. He served as the Korean representative of the Meetings of Agricultural Chief Scientists (MACS) of G20 and as a member of the Steering Committee of the Global Club, a council of presidents from global agricultural economic research institutes.      After retiring KREI as President of KREI, he was appointed as an invited professor to Seoul National University's Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development with the mandate of establishing a Global High-tech Agricultural Network to foster agricultural human resources in developing countries. He recently served as Senior Advisor of Asia Development Bank and is currently a Vice-president of the Global Innovative Education Lab of the Education Commission Asia.

I am the founder and director of the Green Sabbath Project.  Our mission is to adapt and adopt some version of the ancient practice of shabbat / sabbath as an ecological ritual for our era of environmental catastrophes.  Whether celebrated as a secular, spiritual, or religious day, we believe that a weekly day of rest, a weekly Earth Day, a weekly day of refraining from or minimizing our environmental impact offers manifold benefits.  Shabbat / sabbath traditionally served as a reminder that humans do not belong to their employers or to the economy, that our world / creation makes our lives possible, that higher purposes should guide our lives and not merely material desires.  We envision green sabbaths as a practice to help reorient our behavior as individuals and collectives toward truly sustainable living; as a time for self, family, and community; as a reminder of economic inequalities; as a practice of self-care and tending toward our own well-being; and as a vessel for environmental consciousness-raising. I also founded and direct the Jewish Activism Summer School (Berlin).  For a living I teach Jewish Studies at the University of Potsdam (Germany).

I spent 15 years in fostering local #economic development and designing major public infrastructure. I worked as Deputy Managing Director for Economy, Innovation, Employment and Int'l at Nice Côte d'Azur Metropolis and used to run Sophia Antipolis Technopolis. I also gained international experience as project director in one of the major French concession and construction company. After realising economic development is a complex issue, in which we need to reconcile economic growth, planetary boundaries and social thresholds, I decided to focus on raising collective awareness about this issue, using the Donut Economic Model, which I find particularly clear and enlightning. I also decided to make a radical turn in my carreer and undertook the transformation of the family farm into an organic farm. I currently pursue my efforts to developping biodiversity within the family farm and help organisations shift their focus from economic development to Donut Economics! Natalia Tsuyama is a public policy specialist at the Undersecretariat of Women's Policy for the State of Minas Gerais and an environmental advocate for the Cerrado. Since 2023, she has been a young leader of the Feminist Coalition for Climate Justice of the Generation Equality Forum by UN Women. She is currently serving as the Co-facilitator of the Environment, Climate Justice, and Just Energy Transition Working Group in the C20, the G20's Civil Society Engagement Group. Additionally, she is a national advisor for the T20, the G20's Think Tanks Engagement Group. With an international trajectory, she has also been a Young Leader in the Sustainable Lifestyles and Education Program of the United Nations One Planet Network, a Member of the Global Youth Movement for Water, a GYCAF Youth Committee member, and has participated in various national and international leadership and sustainability programs, such as the UPG Sustainability Leaders by United People Global and the Global Youth Climate Network’s 2022 Max Thabiso Edkins (MTE) Climate Ambassador Program. She has also attended international conferences, such as the UN Water Conference in 2023, the Annual Meeting of Curators of the Global Shapers in 2022 and 2023, the FAO Regional Leaders Meeting for Latin America and the Caribbean in 2024, and the Commission on the Status of Women - 68CSW in 2024 as part of the Brazilian delegation.

My story starts with books. I grew up surrounded by myths and fairy tales, so I followed this childhood passion in my career journey when I decided to make a living out of listening to stories. I became an Event & Speaker Manager and invited +500 voices to share ideas on stage at major conferences in Romania, offering audiences of +200 persons the courage to go on the “hero’s journey”. My studies in communication, public relations and advertising boosted this openness to conversation. I could always find myself going down the rabbit hole - the more I listened, the more questions I had. A deep question was still searching for its answer: How can I have a global impact through storytelling? The answer came in 2019 when I co-created Community Index Magazine - the first and only sustainability magazine in Romania - where I interviewed +100 global thought leaders. After 5 years, I started feeling that sustainability tends to focus a bit too much on doom and gloom. That moment activated my imagination to shift the narrative on active hope and spotlight a new type of change maker: the Regenerative Leader. In 2022, I created Inspirators, a storytelling ecosystem and interview series on regenerative leadership based on a questionnaire similar to Marcel Proust’s, where +120 diverse voices from +80 countries of the world and all walks of life share their reflections, resources and evergreen inspiration. Stories are a force when you engage with them to give your life and the world a new shape. Inspiration, to me, is all about action and making an imagined future real. This is why my purpose lies in wearing three hats: * Regenerative Storyteller. I deliver transformative content where inspiration is the red thread that connects inner and outer change to enlighten on a wide range of sustainability knowledge * Sustainable Leadership and Communication Advisor. Hey there! I'm Himani Dawar, a business management undergraduate at Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, University of Delhi with prior experience in consulting, venture capital, impact creation and finance and current interest in economics (of course :)). Currently, I serve as a Senior Consultant at the SSCBS branch of the world's largest student run volunteer consultancy - 180 Degrees Consulting. During my internships at FICCI and Anthill Ventures, I gained valuable experience in evaluating financial viability, driving startup growth, and identifying key industry trends. At Anthill Ventures, I facilitated strategic initiatives for startups across sectors by analyzing financials, leading investor showcases, and crafting detailed industry reports. Similarly, at FICCI, I assessed global education trends and developed insightful reports on emerging business themes, such as ESG investing and Gig Economy to inform high-level stakeholders. Additionally, in November 2024, my team and I clinched the Global Rank 4 at the prestigious Cornell EMI Corning Case Competition, organized by Cornell University, United States. This globally recognized case competition, organized by the Emerging Markets Institute, Cornell University witnessed participation of 47+ Business Schools from 15+ countries. Our team was the youngest team to be in the Global Top 5 and secured the highest ever rank achieved by an Undergraduate college.  When I am not in the business world, you'll find me in the kitchen - experimenting with baking recipes or jogging with my headphones.
