Fostering community partnerships

Milton Keynes College Group held Welcome Events at their Chaffron Way Campus and at the South Central Institute of Technology. The aim was to introduce the College's internal and external partnerships and services to their learners, fostering a sense of Belonging, developing Respect for the local community, and introducing their principles of Integrity.

Our Milton Keynes Doughnut Economics group was among the community partners invited to set out our stalls. We took the media wall that we designed for our Global Donut Day event in 2023, to introduce the principles of Doughnut Economics and stimulate conversation.

The College has invited students to set up their own extracurricular interest groups. We hope one of those will be on the topic of sustainability and that our group can collaborate with them to, for example, explore the new Preparing to Teach toolkit during Global Donut Days 2024 and / or the College in the Community Day in April 2025.
