In March 2026, 60 participants from businesses, academics, and policymakers met at the first international Regenerative Business Leaders conference to discuss necessary economic transformations and regenerative ways of doing business. at the Botanic Garden Zuidas in Amsterdam, a fitting backdrop for a day of conversations on regeneration.

The conversations brought together perspectives from Earth science, systems thinking, and agriculture, complemented with an artistic and thought-provoking spirit. Debates emerged throughout the day, reflecting the willingness to challenge one another on whether enough is being done. In this dynamic and constructive atmosphere, Willem van Winden and Garance Breuil from the consultancy Regenalyze had the opportunity to lead an interactive workshop where organisations could reflect on how to apply the Doughnut Economics framework in practice. It was encouraging to see that most participants were already familiar with the framework and actively working with it.
